Gus answered and told me if I could make it there safely, which I could so we drove slowly to his shop. We included my spouse, 3 kids and dog. Gus and his team were able to get both tires replaced while I took care my kids. The tires cost me $75 each (mind blown!). A little background info, we left California due to my job and that's why we are on the road to North Carolina. With my disability it's hard to get in and out of the tahoe. They come out, fill er' up and get my windshield clean. When they had to order my new tires I had them the next day. There are public restrooms located outside on the west side of the building. It's not too clean, there's newspapers scattered across the table inside..(it's a man's world here). I believe they also have coffee and I know they sell bottles of pop. There are times when I've come in with men sitting around the table having their manly discussions..kind of cute. They accept credit cards, cash and checks..not Google pay. My kids usually stay in the vehicle here.

My truck broke down in town at 4:30pm and I called around the parts stores, looking for recommendations for an affordable shade tree mechanic able to work after 5:00. Alfonso had dropped off his business card and came highly recommended. He and his son drove to my location and gave me a quick estimate. I had previously had the hydro boost on my Chevrolet Silverado replaced by this shop a few months…read moreago. After a short period, I began hearing a whining noise at the pump. When I had the fluid checked it was discovered that they used ATF fluid in the pump rather than the correct fluid as per the manufacturer. I had to have the fluid replaced to correct the whining noise. If I left this go, it would have ruined the pump in a short period of time and I would have had even more costly repairs due to this issue. I find it very difficult to believe that it was a mistake, being they are highly trained mechanics that work there. I was very disgusted and alarmed that this occurred. Hence, always, always check and be sure of who is working on your vehicles and that they do the job right. Not make things worse or to possibly make more money on you down the road, knowing you'll be back!!!
