We had a great 30-year rate already, but we wanted to take advantage of the low rates. I called and checked online with 7 different mortgage companies and I'm so thankful we chose First Class Mortgage. Not only did they offer the best rate and lowest closing costs of the other companies, but they offered assurance that if the loan process took longer than expected (which is common with the low interest rates right now), they would take care of it and we wouldn't have to pay extra to continue locking in the rate. This was something none of the other companies were willing to do. Thankfully, their team processed our loan as quickly as possible. They made the process so very simple; we were able to do everything except the closing (which was also perfect) in person. They were clear about everything from the beginning and answered every question we had. They communicated with us every step of the way so that there were no surprises. To top it all off, despite telling us our rate would be locked in and couldn't be reduced, their team was able to get our rate down from 2.375% to 2.25%! WOW! Thanks to them, we are paying almost the same monthly amount...but will pay it off 7 years earlier! We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done. Our own agent told us that if we wrote it for a specific amount that certain fees would be waived or simply wrapped into that amount. After we wrote the check, we were told...oops, that was wrong. And we need another $250 to complete the amortization. This is after they've cashed the checks so I don't have the option to be just as petty as this company is and back out of the process and get my $125,000 back. Bell Bank, are the penny pushers so powerful in your company that you have zero customer care values? Is it worth pissing off your customers this badly over $250 when you make 3/4 profit off interest over the life of the loan?
