We have a fairly complex tax situation ( multiple homes, multiple businesses) and generally are in a challenging tax situation. Laura's knowledge helped me with a tax error from a prior provider and saved me over 40k! She is always available for question and just a kind business woman. She is a credit to the community and excellent in her field. Her rate is very reasonable and this year she identified valid deductions from my rental home I hadn't even considered- just from a conversation! I went years thinking I could manage my own taxes as I am Financial services. Laura saved me close to 80k I would never have managed on my own. Having moved West from New York several years ago, we now work with Kelli Cox and her team on substantially all of our personal, corporate, LLC, and 501(c)(3) returns; our son also works with Kelli on his own personal returns. Our singular regret in working with Kelli now is that we didn't move our accounting business to her decades ago. Kelli is an accounting wizard and magician, cost-effective, charming and kind. Six thumbs up.

Even though they had not completed my taxes, they sent me a bill and charged late fees although my taxes had yet to be filed. I called several times and sent several messages, none of which I received a response. When I made an appointment, they did not honor the time and when I finally reached a human, I was not connected to my CPA but with an assistant who could not answer my question. And, of course, they never got back to me with an answer to my question. Not cheap, not professional, and grossly incompetent.

At no point before the work was completed was I told what the fee would be. I was not given a quote, estimate, or engagement agreement to sign beforehand. When I came to pick up my return, I was asked to sign paperwork at the front desk to file my taxes, but there was still no discussion of the total cost or breakdown of services. The CPA did not personally explain anything and remained in his office while staff handled the transaction. I was charged $500, which was much higher than expected for a straightforward return. I would have appreciated clear communication about pricing before any work was started so I could make an informed decision. I'm sharing this so others know to ask for a written fee agreement upfront before using this service.
