Yeah, car insurance is a scam, especially in Michigan and especially especially in the 313 and it…read moredoes seem predatory the way almost every single LA Insurance is located directly next to a Secretary of State but their rates are the least awful you're likely to find. I used to always go to the LA Insurance on Jefferson which closed down, probably cause it wasn't close enough to a Secretary of State. The dude behind the bullet proof glass (this is Detroit) was always so easy going and talkative. Really great customer service. Fast forward to 2019, my Explorer died and I bought another high mileage vehicle from a lot on the West side of town. I started a new policy with an LA insurance out there and just had a horrible experience with them. (They're all independent contractors so you can pay online but if you make a physical payment you need to go to the same franchisee. I usually paid online but something got fouled up, I went in person to straighten it out, and they failed to do that. Policy lapsed, but that's another review.) Long story short - I know it's too late for that just like anytime people say that - I started a new policy at the LA Insurance in Hamtown and lo and behold the dude from the Jefferson spot migrated over there. I just learned his name is Pierre today. Not what I would have guessed but Pierre is cool af and pretty much the only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars. (I can't give an auto insurance place 5 stars, just on general principle .) Even if there's a couple people ahead of me, Pierre doesn't take long to get to me, or the person behind me if they get there after me. If someone is missing paperwork he'll ask if they mind if he starts on the next customer while they go out to their ride to get what they need. Pierre is mad efficient like that. Oh, and the T Mobile is right next door so I can knock out my phone bill while I'm over here, too.

TLDR; Poor communication, subpar performance and no transparency during the tenant searching…read moreprocess. I am a previous client (property owner) and I would not recommend NREMG management services to other property owners for the following reasons: 1. I hired NREMG on 8/27/20. I terminated my contract with them on 10/11/20. During that time there were only four (4) "official" showings and only one (1) application received, despite making clear what my priority was (renting out the units ASAP). Any time I wanted an update on the tenant search, I had to reach out because they did not take the initiative to let me know what was going on. 2. NREMG uses a proprietary software called "TenantTurner" to schedule showings. While I was residing in the unit listed for rent, I never received notifications from TenantTurner regarding tenant showings that were rescheduled or consequently cancelled, neither via email or text (e.g. if a tenant scheduled a showing for Monday and then rescheduled for Tuesday, I would receive two showing notifications, but no notice that the showing for Monday was cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday. This was a recurring theme and a continued waste of my time. 3. I had to do damage control for a prospect that showed up to the property (as scheduled, because neither the prospect nor I received any cancellation notification - refer to point #1) and a NREMG listing agent did not show. 4. One of the listing agents (Erica Skapyak) was uninformed/unprepared while showing a prospect the home where I was present (I was occupying the unit at the time). The agent, in turn, had to ask me (as the owner) questions that the prospect was asking (i.e. is the unit furnished, what appliances are included, etc.) when I had already provided all this information at the start of the management agreement. This defeats the purpose of having a property manager show the property. 5. When calling the NREMG main number, one of the reps I spoke to was very unprofessional, whispering inappropriate comments direct towards me while on the phone without realizing I could hear them. 6. On two separate occasions, the listing photos were incorrectly posted on the advertisement. It took 13 days for the NREMG team to correct the error (notified 9/11, corrected 9/24). When the error was fixed, then only 5 pictures appeared for the "lower unit" and 8 pictures appeared for the "upper unit" when I had previously provided 40+ pictures for their use and I had to bring this up with them again to correct. 7. In an email dated 10/9 at 5:28pm, NREMG stated "Per the terms of the management agreement, we would not continue to incur additional costs to lease the property going forward as you have formally stated your intention to terminate the agreement." This is because I had asked NREMG to continue vetting the applicant despite formally requesting termination (mistake on my part). When I asked for clarification of this statement after-the-fact, they conveniently changed the meaning of "property" to mean "upper unit" to not contradict themselves and still hold claim to first month's commission. This was grossly unprofessional and misleading. 8. The only applicant in question had a pet which fell under the category of an "aggressive breed" (Rottweiler). NREMG did not consider this in the screening process and conditionally approved the applicant without first consulting with me. Let it be known that I did allow pets, but my insurance policy does not cover aggressive breeds (as many policies do not). This is a huge red flag and is an oversight on their part for not consulting with the owner before allowing an aggressive breed on the property. 9. Finally, NREMG claims to have sent an automated email regarding a submitted tenant application on 10/9 at 2:33pm (perhaps related to point #1) which I never received. This is a recurring theme. You can expect NREMG to reply to this critique by saying they fulfilled their responsibilities and contractual obligations as per their agreement, but the way they reached that outcome was extremely inadequate.

Renting out a property is much easier if you have the help of a good property management company…read more What NREMG offers is peace of mind. They are a one-stop shop that can administer all your needs. They are knowledgeable about the area, have effective marketing with tech innovations, and have versatility in solving any issues. As the other reviews mention, you will find professional help from people who love their job and will go above and beyond to help you have a very smooth transaction. I recommend NREMG.
