If you ever feel like that I HIGHLY recommend calling them and talking/meeting with Roland Soltesz! I called their office for a consult and I was met with Mr. Soltesz, he was VERY nice and made me feel like I wasn't alone and kind of lifted this heavy burden off my shoulders. He talked to me about my situation and also gave me some advice to reassure my choices. Also, talked to me in ways it was relatable like a friend and gave me examples haha. He also gave me the best price in town compared to other offices. Don't take my word for it just go ahead and call around. I found this office by doing a google and yelp search of best attorneys around Monterey County and they were number 2. The number 1 person wanted to start 4k for misdemeanor cases... Mr. Soltesz even met me a second time after I got more files even for free as another consult. I can tell Mr. Soltesz was very genuine and wasn't all about the money only. He really does care for you and your situation and I really appreciate him for that. I even saw him at the courthouse and walked up to him to ask him one last time of all the questions I had and he took time to talk to me and reassure me of my options. Mr. Soltesz if you're reading this I REALLY appreciate all the time you took to talk to me out of your busy schedule and THANK YOU. Just know I've been referring people to you because I know they'll be in good hands with you.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate that I found William Pernik…read more In a world where it often feels impossible to find an attorney who is both exceptionally skilled and genuinely cares about his clients, Pernik is the rare exception. From day one, he treated my case with the seriousness, attention, and strategic insight that you hope for but rarely see. He didn't just take my case -- he understood it. He understood me. He asked the right questions, caught details other attorneys had overlooked, and moved with a level of precision and professionalism that immediately gave me confidence. What impressed me most was that he balances brilliant legal ability with real humanity. He is calm, patient, direct, and honest -- no ego, no drama, just sharp legal work and steady guidance. At a time when I felt overwhelmed, he gave me clarity. At a time when I felt vulnerable, he gave me a plan. And at a time when I needed someone truly in my corner, he showed up 100%. Pernik is the kind of attorney who earns trust because he deserves it. He listens. He prepares. He anticipates. He fights smart. And he genuinely cares about the people he represents. If you're looking for an attorney who combines elite legal skill with integrity and compassion, you will not find better than William Pernik. I'm grateful for everything he's done, and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who needs serious, competent, and committed legal representation.

A couple of years ago, several members of my family were facing extraordinarily serious…read moreindictments. The police and DA, with their lack of cultural competency, completely misunderstood the indecent they encountered and over-filed charges that could have imprisoned innocent people for life. Due to the grave implications of this case, my family sought the counsel of one of Monterey County's most esteemed criminal defense attorneys. However, since the case involved multiple defendants, he could not represent all parties involved and recommended that we added Jevin Hernandez to the defense team. Sincerely, this was one of the best decisions we made during the difficult and anxiety ridden process. Jevin and the team at the Hernandez law firm brought not only their professionalism and legal expertise to the case but, they also showed genuine care for the defendants and our family. Jevin made multiple visits to my uncle while he was incarcerated, and worked diligently to understand not just the facts of the case, but also the circumstances which informed the defendants' actions. Cultural understanding was a key part of the case and Jevin was committed to studying and researching our social and historical context. During the first several days of my uncle's incarceration, he was not receiving the medication for his heart condition, as needed, and had to be transported to the infirmary. As soon as Jevin joined the case and learned of the situation, he was outraged and made it a priority to ensure my uncle was appropriately cared for while he was in custody. Jevin and his team was deeply compassionate was always accessible. He consistently kept the family informed of all of counsels' discussions and decisions. In my conversations with him, which were almost daily, he showed great empathy and was very personable. He was beyond approachable and definitely helped create a sense of ease during an intensely uneasy time. He worked very well alongside our other counsels and ultimately, he was able to help my family members avoid additional jail time. The case was resolved with my family members only receiving probation. Considering where we started, this was a major win. In my understanding, after a case's conclusion, your relationship with the defense attorney ends. Once the money runs out and the case is over, defendants are on their own to navigate probation. This was not the situation with Jevin. He continued to remain in touch with the family, checking in on everyone's well-being and assisted with whatever issues we had. To this very day, Jevin still reaches out and stays in touch with us. My family and I are extremely grateful for all that Jevin has done for us, and for the extent of care in which he conducts his practice. Lastly, I understand that mounting a legal defense is extremely costly. This is what makes our justice system so unjust. Those with means can afford high power attorneys, while those without often end up in jail. This inequality and injustice is not lost on Jevin and his team. He understands that the poor and unprivileged are disproportionally criminalized. With that understanding, Jevin and the firm are very fair and will help you mount an expert defense while working with your means. I cannot thank him enough and I highly recommend him.

In this case, the trial was lost, which is acceptable. However, the lawyer did not pursue traffic school without my prompting after the court date. It was assumed I would not be interested in this even though I was eligible and ultimately granted this option by the commissioner. The main reason for the average rating is due to lack of follow through.
