Okay, so let me give you the full low down about this firm. You go in confident, based on what you hear from their ads. During the consultation, you meet Tom Worthington and Bertha, the secretary. They all seem sweet enough. The thing is, Tom is retired, he is not going to work on your case. It will be his son, Brian, who already hates you when he meets you. He feels privileged because his dad put him through law school. Brian still has a lot to learn about law, he has rarely gone to trial. If you ask him a legal question, he will tell you to Google it. During your court appearances, he will show up five minutes before, unprepared, and try to brief you on the same topic. He has already worked it out with the prosecutor, right as you hired him. You are taking a plea, you will be convicted. He is going to convince you that it is your only option, that you will owe life in prison otherwise. After he keeps bullying you, you will take the plea, to your regret. As you are convicted, you will realize that it didn't have to be so bad, a public defender could have gotten you a better deal, or the case would have been dismissed altogether if you didn't hire him. But no, you hired Brian, who does this to everyone, gets his money while you plea out, the prosecutor gets a conviction. Everyone wins but you, because you did not do your homework while looking for an attorney, you went based on the hype from ads. read more

The team at Worthington law is very unprofessional; I would never recommend them to anyone. I hired Tom Worthington, but they gave me Brian, the cheapest of the four attorneys. There is a reason why he was the cheapest, he was completely incompetent about basic criminal laws, he told me to Google things if I asked him questions. I was paying top dollar for him yet he wasn't willing to answer the most basic legal questions. Non-willingness was a constant theme with Brian, he was not willing to fight for me, insistently bullied me to take a plea. At the end of the day, in court, he will side with the prosecutor and judge over you considering that he sees them often, and you, on the other hand, are only a stint in his life.
