If I could give these apartments no star I would, with that out the way let's get into why. Lincoln…read moreSquare used to be the perfect place to live but not anymore, Why because when Paula Mandaglio became the new manager she immediately started firing all the black staff including the the ones that took care of the grounds during the summer and winter. She evicted so many tenants that were on "Section 8" without cause. She told the remaining residents that her plan was to turn Lincoln Square Apartments into a gated community so she could get Cops, Lawyers, Doctors and College students to move in. In her words "I have to get rid of all the rift wrath" in other words the black residents and tenants that were on section 8. Paula almost was victorious when it came down to getting rid of all Lincoln Square's residents. A group of them joined together and was able to get Legal Aid and the NAACP involved, bringing Paula's plans to a halt. All though she didn't get her way it wouldn't stop her from harassing her tenants with infractions for 5 months straight. I can't help but to look at the reviews on this complex and say that maybe two of them are legit because these units are not affordable, they used to be before Paula up the rent. As a current resident I can honestly say we were paying $550 plus electric but now it's $1200 or $1100 depending on what you pick. Truth be told these units are not even worth have of what we have to pay. There's no central air nor washing machines or dryers in the units. Paula is making us pay for basic upgrades which include "flooring, lighting and stainless steel appliances". There's no maintenance workers she fired every last one. She's never in the office, when I say that, I mean literally never here. It's hard to get in contact with here because she refuses to communicate with her tenants. She just wants money! My unit is one of the newer ones and it's terrible. What you see on the website isn't what you get. And as of 09/23 she's back to evicting residence for no reason at all. For Lincoln Square Apartments to remain active. Paula Mandaglio is going to have to go. New management is needed. Paula Mandaglio has ran this community into the ground, do not let her smile and her dancing fool you! She is very naïve and she does not, and I quote she does not like Black people! Until Lincoln Square Apartments/634 properties seek new management please stay away look elsewhere. You will be better off and this is coming from a resident.

Did the landscaping, stained the fence and took immaculate care of it, yet got a bill for almost $900 60 days after moving out for them having to FILL SCREW HOLES IN THE WALL. (When I moved in, there were MULTIPLE holes left from the previous tenants/owner, by the way) Tried to reach them regarding my security deposit via phone and text for two whole months and nobody got back to me, even though my lease agreement said "within 30 days." After I threatened legal action, I finally got a completely unprofessional invoice and letter. Nobody ever actually contacted me. Not to mention the hot water tank burst while living there and the replacement they installed broke a month later. I had to go 4 days without hot water while they "figured it out." Plus, the water pipe leaked the entire time I lived there and my water bill was $90+ every month. The appraiser who came prior to us moving out said the place was "immaculate"... this company and these people are an absolute joke. Do not rent from them.

Living at The Woods of Liberty has been one of the worst housing experiences I've ever had. On the…read moresurface the complex looks okay, but once you're actually inside the unit, the problems hit you fast and they never really get fixed. There are serious issues with the building itself. I've had wasps literally coming into the bathroom from inside the walls, which is not just annoying, it's a real safety and health concern. There is visible mold, recurring leaks, and a constant feeling that the place is damp, dirty, and poorly maintained no matter how much you clean. What makes it even worse is the way management and the organization operate. Problems get brushed off, "fixed" halfway, or dragged out forever, and you're left living with the consequences. They are quick to take your rent but unbelievably slow to take responsibility for basic habitability and repairs. The way things are handled feels even dirtier than the mold and the leaks in the walls. If you're considering moving here, think very carefully before signing anything. Between the insects coming through the walls, the mold, the leaks, and the dismissive management, this place is not worth the money or the stress.
