Norma did not do anything to keep our house from selling, but she did not help our house to sell…read moreeither. We had to find a realtor by these types of reviews and Norma had all great reviews. I am not sure if it was situational for us, but we did not have the same experience as everyone else on here. We were completely upfront and honest with Norma from the start on our situation. We only had our house for 3 years before we had to sell due to a job. She was kind enough to wave the standard "Remax fee" and take 2.5% commission instead of the standard 3% because we were so tight on budget, but that was the end of the "help". When we met with her on a Wednesday, we gave all the information on our house including square footage of every room of the property. She said she was going to get the property listed Thursday. Didn't list it until Saturday. Said she would have the sign in the yard Friday. Didn't happen until Sunday. Said she was going to list all the information. She didn't list any notes in the realtor details like she said to let realtors know the situation and more importantly didn't list the square footage. (first couple showings had people saying, "it is a lot bigger than we expected") This took us going on to this website and others ourselves to get the square footage added. We also asked her to please give us a 5-minute phone call at the end of every week to just discuss how things were going and what we would be trying next. NOT ONCE did she call us. We constantly were reaching out to her and a majority of the time we would call her on Friday to get a call back on Sunday evening. A standard 2 days was the waiting time to get responses back from her. When we had showings, we would get 1 sentence feedback and never hear from her if she was going to follow up or not days later. We ended up doing more to sell this house than her. We shared on media sites and got word of mouth with other realtors going. She really didn't do anything besides be unresponsive and suggest price drops even though we were getting on average 2 showings a week. She also on multiple occasions took some personal time off throughout this process. We would have had no problem with this if she would have assigned another agent from her office to handle her business while she was out, but we got "I will be unavailable for the next couple of days" and that was it. No resources during her time away at all. Then, we got a legitimate offer. She received it on a Wednesday at roughly 4pm. We didn't hear about it from her until Thursday at 6pm. The only reason we knew she had it that long was because we had to respond by 8pm that night. She held on to a legit offer for 26 hours before giving it to us and then we only had 2 hours to make a counter offer. We then get the signed accepted offer and she miss spelled my wife's name even with all the documentation she had with her name all over it. We came to terms with the new buyers and moved on. Then, during the negotiations after inspections, it got so frustrating waiting for responses from Norma, we ended up getting into direct contact with the new buyers. The 1 thing that she had to schedule, she had 15 days to schedule it and forgot so we ended up having to schedule it ourselves last minute. It was to the point that she was so disconnected from this sale that we went through her to find out how we could sign ahead of time, so we wouldn't have to attend the closing and she texted us the day before the closing to say, "see you tomorrow morning". Overall, Norma was unresponsive, disconnected, and never did what she said she was going to do. On top of that, we could not go to her broker to try and get a new agent because she is her own broker and owns the 2 Remax offices in the area. I would not recommend her for selling a house at all.

She kept in great communication throughout the entire process and guided us with realistic expectation on the process of home buying and selling. Her many years in the real estate industry has made her the local "go-to" expert for a reason. Can't say it enough about her care when handling her clients! Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a no-nonsense, down to earth approach!
