Definitely satisfied! will come back…read more First time coming here. Decided to try a new local barbershop in BP. Got my cut from "Dom" (Dominique). What I like about my experience is that she is attentive to detail, thorough, and has a steady hand. Station is clean. Service excellent. The location has a lot of space and doesn't make you feel crowded while waiting. TVs have movies playing and the local news/sports, music playing in the background.

Andrew was the guy who gave my son his haircut and he did not disappoint. He checked in with us at every step to make sure we got what we were looking for in a haircut. The place was very welcoming and clean. My son hates getting haircuts and cries when he has to get one, but he was actually calm and smiling while getting his haircut today, for once he enjoyed the experience. First time, but also LAST TIME, customer. Walked in, and was told to sign in. Not a problem, as…read morethis is customary at some establishments. Was told it would be "around 40 minutes", which seemed excessive but I was curious so I sat down. An HOUR later I had to ASK if it would be much longer, and was shrugged off by the girl behind the counter. She "had to just guess" was her excuse. I had wasted an hour, leaving without a haircut would have doubled the waste, so 20 MORE minutes pass before I finally got a seat. An hour and 20 minutes without an apology or explanation. Nope, sit there watching the barbers stop cutting hair to yell back and forth to each other about inane topics. Guess they make enough money to turn off potential loyal customers? Anyway, the haircut was good at least. Even though my request was simple and not very time consuming. Would have been enough for TWO stars, if I hadn't been informed that they don't take bank cards and I HAD to use the ATM they had. Right next to the counter, of course. Convenient. Anyway, as a lifelong Superman fan, you'd think this would be THE place for me. Think again.

If you're going to cut around the ear, I get it, but if you're buzzing another part of my head, please let go of the ear. We aren't dating and I don't know you that well. The cleanliness of Elevate immediately signaled to me care and attention. The polished concrete floors were promptly cleaned and the decor was fresh and hip. While I'm sure the boys in the shop enjoyed the musical selections, I did not. These boys from the shop are boys from the hood. I'm told by reading information from the business, the owner enjoys playing "good" music; I beg to differ. In John Pinette lingo, "I say, nay, nay." The speakers, obviously prized for their clarity, carried the rhymes and rhythms of vulgarity. The demeaning social vernacular of words I would not use directed towards anyone, used to speak about women, or repeated racial slurs made me crawl under the barber's cape. The last "song" that was playing had the lyric "leave your panties on my nightstand." When I googled to try and find out what song was playing, I learned this: Regarding the broader context of leaving underwear on a nightstand at night, health experts often suggest that sleeping without underwear is beneficial for vaginal health, as it allows the area to breathe, prevents trapping moisture, and reduces the risk of infections, such as yeast infections. While some suggest wearing loose, cotton underwear is fine, skipping it entirely is generally recommended. Well, now I know. And knowing is half the battle. Price for a haircut $40, cash only.
