Fast forward a few decades and CL is still one of my favorite sidekick for what is cool, interesting and or off beat for this city of mine. Besides letting you know what's worthy of checking out in this fine city of the south they also have great short fiction written by local talents. We shouldn't be surprised that there are so many talented local writers in this city. After all this is the city of Gone With The Wind and telling stories to each other is as natural as sweet tea and fried okra baby! For the past 10+ years or more my favorite reason to get the CL is the legendary epicurean Cliff Bostock. He was a foodie before most of us were even born! There are some very talented writers at Creative Loafing, and my hat goes off to them for the remarkable job that they do on a weekly basis. Undoubtedly the best Newspaper that Atlanta has to offer. When I was looking up their website for their phone number, I was surprised to find out that Atlanta Magazine has been around since 1961. Considering how much of Atlanta is relatively brand spanking new, I couldn't believe a local magazine could be 45 years old.
