Climbing all day with Noah was a day I'll never forget for the rest of my life. Noah is an excellent guide and person, who is extremely knowledgeable about climbing and safety. He let me choose the kind of day I wanted to have climbing, and the mix we chose had great climbs and views. Noah was a great conversationalist and we had many great talks throughout the day. I would recommend Noah to everyone who was looking to climb in or near Acadia National Park.

This was an incredible day of rock climbing! Brandon and Noah were so much fun to hang out with while showing us how to climb! If you're anywhere near Camden, this will be an experience you will love and will be a memory you will treasure!!!

As someone who's more accustomed to navigating a NYC subway map than figuring out hand placement on the side of a cliff, I would HIGHLY recommend Equinox Guiding Service to anyone who is looking for an outdoor rock climbing experience. I did the half day climb at Camden with Noah, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and explained everything in full detail. Under his guidance, I was able to do 8 pitches total for the day when I didn't even think I could complete one! The whole experience was super fun and Noah even managed to take some great photos for me to put on my social media later on! I would totally do it again and hope to go back!

We spent the day with Noah and Equinox Guiding yesterday and had such a great experience. We had very little ice climbing experience going into yesterday and we left with thorough understanding of technique, safety operations, the Camden Hills area and huge smiles in our faces. It was wonderful to be coached and guided by a professional that makes safety a priority, while still keeping the day easy, comfortable and fun. Can't wait to do it again! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone with beginner to advanced ice and rock climbing skill.

I had the most amazing experience with Noah as my guide during a half day of climbing with a group. Noah is very knowledgeable, a talented teacher and a great encourager while you're climbing. He ensured everyone was safe while having fun out on the rocks! Whether you're a seasoned climber or you're thinking about climbing for the first time, Equinox should be your guide choice - already looking forward to the next time I get to climb with them!

We had a fantastic time here for my daughters birthday party! This is our second experience here…read moreand both times the staff were so friendly and helpful. We appreciate your flexibility when we had to reschedule our party not once, but twice due to rain. The course is great with multiple challenge levels and safety is clearly a top priority. Our kids love this place and we will be back soon!

Challenging, fun, and a great story to bring home! Monkey C Monkey Do is like a big outdoor version…read moreof the ropes course you can find in the South Portland mall. It works on a slightly different hook-in system, but doing it this way invites you to be present in what you are doing, and also adds another level of safety when you and buddy are looking out for each other. There are multiple levels of the ropes course, each more challenging than the other. The ground level is made for kids under 12 and it's a great intro to the latching system and "learning the ropes", so to speak. The very top level is black diamond level difficulty... I've seen a few kids brought to tears up there, and I imagine some adults have cried too. But there are a few levels in between that are a good balance of fun and challenging, while also very safe. Another great upside of buying the full ticket is the zip lines. So much fun! There are a few that you can access from the main course and a few that are nestled in the woods. I was terrified of zip lining before visiting and now I feel good about it. A lot of that is how skilled and thoughtful the whole staff is. They make you feel safe and also encourage you to face your fears and have a great time! Shout out to Bethel for running the whole show and creating a memorable experience for both kids and adults alike. They are only open for the summer and it's a good idea to make a reservation online, just in case it's a particularly busy day. Can't wait to return next year!

There's an outdoor deck/patio that you can sit and relax on too if you want to take a break from your workout. Although the bouldering section is relatively smaller (compared to the Portsmouth location which is entirely bouldering), there is a good variety of problems and wall angles, plus an additional smaller wall on the upper level. Price wise, I'd say it's a little steep especially if you only want to boulder (or only ropes- I wish gyms offered discounts for one type of climbing but I understand that would be difficult to track/enforce). And amenities are a little older/dated, but they do have showers, foot rinse stations etc. And a nice retail/merch section of front. For first time visitors - I know every gym has its standards/procedures, but the entire mandatory walkthrough and explanation of all classes/events offered is a bit overkill in my opinion. I think that is something that should be announced/posted on flyers and elaborated on in person on a case-by-case basis. All in all though, I do enjoy this facility and try to make it out at least once during my annual beach vacation in Maine. @azfitfoodfun

We had a nice day here, driving the loop, hopping into the cold water and hiking beehive…read more The hike was the most memorable. Dare seeker kind of heights with no railings. I had with me a fanny pack that impeded my movement - the cliff side overhangs were small enough for me to feel a wee nervous about the pack's width further from the safety of the rock face. My husband had a metal water bottle he had to keep one hand on. Also quite a bit of a burden. Should have left it so he could have both hands on some of these scrambles. My pre-teens loved the steps and ladders made from bent metal bars forced into rock. It was like a jungle gym with real life stakes. And the view! It was gorgeous. Worth the climb, even if the journey wasn't stupendously adventurous.

To Acadia National Park Management,…read more I am writing to express my frustration with the parking situation we encountered today at the Visitor Center. We arrived in our motorhome specifically looking for the designated RV parking, only to find that cars were occupying the spaces marked for RVs. Because of the size of our motorhome, we cannot simply pull into a regular automobile parking space, so when cars take the limited RV spaces, it can leave us with nowhere to park at all. What made this especially frustrating was the inconsistency in parking enforcement that we observed throughout the park. Along the Park Loop Road, we noticed vehicles receiving warning stickers when they were parked improperly or were sticking only a few inches into the roadway. Yet at the Visitor Center, we did not see a single car parked in the designated RV spaces receive a ticket, warning, sticker, or any other indication that the parking restriction was being enforced. If Acadia National Park is going to designate certain spaces specifically for RVs, those spaces need to be enforced. RV parking is already extremely limited, and cars have many more parking options available to them than visitors traveling in motorhomes. We understand that Acadia is extremely busy and parking is challenging. However, that makes consistent enforcement even more important. It is difficult to understand why minor parking violations elsewhere in the park appear to be actively enforced while cars occupying spaces specifically reserved for RVs are allowed to remain without consequence. We hope the park will address this issue by monitoring the RV parking area more closely, clearly marking it as RV-only parking, and enforcing those restrictions just as consistently as parking restrictions elsewhere in the park. Visitors traveling by RV should have a reasonable opportunity to use the parking spaces that the park has specifically designated for them. Thank you for taking this concern seriously.
