The therapy providers--Vanya, and Cole--are incredibly motivating. Their positive energy creates a relaxed environment, which makes the entire treatment process feel much more manageable. Vanya was my primary therapist, and her care was both thoughtful and consistent. She always explained what she was doing and reassessed my progress along the way, which made me feel confident in my treatment. Emily and Joe were also a big part of my experience. They made the stretching routine feel less repetitive and much more engaging. I only mention this since it's the first impression you get when you go into the facility. The good: the people working there in skilled nursing, physical, and occupational therapy seem to truly care about the patients. There are two main problems: (1) the food is awful, and (2) they don't have enough staff to support the patients. We were there with an older relative who had a knee replacement. She was not able to, or supposed to get up on her own and even needed help to go into the restroom. While we were there the first day, she hit the call button and we waited so long for someone to come to help her, she almost soiled herself. I had to go out of the room and find someone who could assist. The first night she was there, again she hit the call button for restroom assistance. Again, she waited to the point where she got up herself. Of course, someone one day out of knee surgery shouldn't do that, but it was that or soil herself so she got up. She made it to the restroom before she fell, requiring a trip to the ER. The next day, we talked to one of the therapists who explained they had someone call in sick the day before, requiring the facility to move someone off of our floor to a different one. This left her the only person monitoring the patients on our floor. They couldn't keep up with the patients. The next day, we spoke with a manager who contradicted the aide saying she didn't know why we were told they were short staffed and said they weren't. That was when I realized we couldn't rely on them to take care of her and decided she should be moved back to her assisted living facility and hire skilled nursing and physical therapy. I cannot in good conscience recommend Whitehall. I see similar comments in some of the other reviews, which I should have read before placing her there. I am terribly disappointed and even though moving her and hiring the help ourselves was much more expensive, I couldn't keep her in a facility where I couldn't count on the care. Oh - I gave them three stars rather than one or two because of the quality of the therapists. If they weren't good, my rating would have been much lower. Also, I see enough pictures of the facility posted that I didn't think I needed to take any. The ones posted by reviewers are pretty spot on.

After our mom fell, we knew that she would need nursing care but we also knew she did not want to live in a nursing home. Whitehall was the perfect place to have her stay as we determined what she needed. Between the physical rehab and care she received there, and the assistance we were provided to manage the insurance and in-home nursing care, we could not have had better care. Caring for parents is so difficult and sometimes it's necessary to take a pause and get the best information possible from people with experience. We are ever so grateful!

Please consider investing in overhead harness systems for gait and mobility training. These systems can be incredibly valuable in stroke recovery, providing additional safety and support while helping patients improve their walking ability, balance, and overall gait. From the beginning, he was different from all the previous PT locations I have visited (I had spent the last 8 months in PT). The traditional approach being 30 minutes with the therapist, then 30 minutes doing exercises with the tech. He does not follow this format. Instead, he takes the time to listen to you and tailors a recovery program suited to your needs. The one on one care on site and accessibility was genuine and helped me understand my recovery and previous setbacks. I am amazed more PT clinics don't operate this way- I think there would be a lot less of us in PT then. Booking: First appointment made over phone and subsequent ones made on site and they accept most insurance. Parking: Ample parking in lot. Location: A bit tricky to find as it is in a plaza so allot an additional 5-10 minutes for your first visit.
