Dana Tramba…read more Touchmark has been our home for three years. I am living a retirement dream. We are active seniors and live in a home with a two-car garage. Currently, I take part in outside community activities. Our Life Enrichment team also has a variety of activities scheduled on-site throughout the day. Touchmark supplies yard work, home maintenance, and weekly housekeeping. I just look at the menu at mealtime and decide what I want to eat. Our chef is wonderful. No more grocery shopping or cooking. The high school and college kids that serve us are like grandchildren you get to see every day. The health and fitness director will assess you and find an exercise class that will enhance your health. Friends gather and visit the Pub in the evenings. It is wonderful to know all my neighbors and live where we feel safe. Touchmark is a great place to spend this season of my life.

I feel like we are benefiting from the rewards of working hard all our lives. I wondered before we moved if I was too young to live in a retirement community. But I love it and happy I found a place close to family where I can spend the last chapter of my life without moving again. The meals are wonderful. The Pitzner landscape crew keeps the grounds immaculate. Grass mowed, snow shoveled and planting seasonal flowers and hanging Christmas Lights. Very friendly. The staff is courteous and quickly knows and greets you by name. The chef's cook delicious meals. Neighbors are friendly even though I only see their eyes and a mask. We have felt safe living here with all the Covid. They have been very cautious. Can hardly wait until this pandemic comes to an end so we can fully enjoy our new community and family can visit. He soon after apologized that the admissions director was unavailable but that he would show me around. I like initiative, much better than leaving me to grow stagnate in the waiting area and the tour presented a facility much better than the other facilities I had visited. I saw residents calmly watching television, smiling, and enjoying themselves. I saw the well appointed physical therapy area, dining room, resident rooms, and the outdoor garden. All gave me the impression that this would be a suitable place for my father to rehabilitate following his hospital day due to a stroke. Dad spent two weeks here at The Springs, the skilled nursing facility on the campus. They addressed all of his needs to include occupational and physical therapy to get him back to functional status. The facility was clean, the staff was supportive, responsive, and pleasant, and overall dad's stay was a success.

Staff to Dr. Less than professional with the exception of an isolated few staff members. Clearly Short staffed, with limited supplies to accommodate in daily care. For the amount that my mom's insurance is paying this facility, the services given are less than desirable. Everyday that I leave her for the night, my heart weeps. Please dont bring your love ones here. Pay the extra $$ for Village Baptist or Epworth Villa.

It has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. If I call with a complaint or concern, they get back to me immediately. We had trouble getting mom's medications figured out, but the nursing staff was very helpful and persistent in figuring it out. Granted, not every CNA loves what they do, and it shows, but the staff at the Gardens is quick to send them on their way. Although my mom has been there for a year, she has declined so much that she can't find her room, or the dining room. The CNA's and Activities Directors are very kind and patient with her and they make sure she shows up in the dining room and for the wonderful activities. Another thing I love is that they are constantly putting on events that include the entire family. They are a very fun group of staff members. Please note that every Assisted Living/Memory Care facility is run by humans, which means no place is perfect. However, it is evident that the managing staff is working hard to make improvements on a daily basis. My mom is the only family member I have left, so I want her to be in the best place possible.

I have a friend in Memory Care that I visit weekly. Along the way to Her area I am greeted with happy smiles by Management, Staff and Residence. It gets the Bodies Moving. There is a party coming up in a few weeks that I plan to attend. I missed the A Spa Day is in the works. Nails and Makeup just because it is fun to be pampered. I highly recommend.

I spoke with Elaine from the Edmond Senior Citizens Center today. She was so kind and helpful,…read morepleasant on the phone and eager to share more information about the Center with me. The boy and I have been thinking a lot about his mother, a sweet 68-year-old woman who is widowed. We were hoping to find her a warm, supportive community of friends and activity partners and I found the Edmond Senior Citizens Center via their website: http://edmondok.com/index.aspx?NID=411 The Senior Citizens Center is open M-F, 8am-4pm. It is available for Edmond residents 55+ years of age and offers senior citizens free transportation to the center within a 6-mile radius. They offer fun free classes and adult education programs for seniors including landscaping and genealogy, bingo, free fitness classes including tai chi, yoga, Jazzercise Lite, day trip opportunities including trips to the circus, and early risers exercise with weights and stretch bands for stretch training. No membership fee to participate! A $12 donation per year is suggested to help cover operating costs which is more than reasonable. One hot meal is available at the Senior Citizens Center every day for only $2.50! Free tours are available daily. I think it's cool that there's a wonderful resource like this available for seniors in the area... If I'm still in Edmond when I'm a senior, you'll find me hanging out here enjoying my $2.50 lunch, doing yoga and shouting "BINGO!!!"

Bradford Village - Wash cloth they furnished. Maybe pillowcases and sheets would be better.

Bradford Village does not supply washcloths or towels but they offer pillow cases for washcloths and bed sheets for towels. If you have an emergency after 11 pm, they may take 30 minutes to respond. As per McBride hospital, since my blood pressure has been very low at times, to take my BP before administering my BP meds. They repeatedly give me meds before checking blood pressure. My left arm was in a sling do to shoulder replacement surgery and was delivered a pork chop for dinner. No one was there to cut up the chop. I could go on and on but I would not wish my worst enemy go to this facility. Breakfast was just OK. No dietitians to plan menues. Might get fried fish with baked beans. Offered Spice Cake for desert 5 nights in a row. I could go on for quite some time but just don't go here. If so, please have a family member closely watch over your care!
