The facility tends to be well used and is staffed by nurses in the first instance who will refer on as appropriate. Physiotherapy has a unit here which is excellently run. The facility is large. Minor procedures are carried out at the community hospital and there are a number of specialist clinics. New Mums can make use of the health visitor and paediatric service in the form of a number of clinics including feeding clinics. The first time, I saw the triage nurse, got sent to a GP on site, only to be referee back to A&E and admitted for a week. The care was excellent over the week from the other nurses, but I was just restless. The second time, I had to wait in A&E for over two hours after waiting for blood samples to be taken. The triage nurse was very rude, however the Dr was lovely, taking an interest in my profession and having a chat about Brexit! If you didn't know it was a hospital, St Helier looks a bit like a prison with its fading white walls and unkept exterior. It's been kind of decorated inside though so it's not all bad!

The ground floor passage in the main building leads through into different floors in other parts, which leads to a little confusion, at first. The care I received was excellent, from Nurses, Doctors and Consultants, and I consider the hospital as the best among the ten+ hospitals that I have been treated in. Every two or three days, my bed and furniture were moved around the ward, so that total cleaning of all floors, walls, and ceilings could take place. This was to prevent MRSA, which was, and is, very common in almost new hospitals, which are probably cleaned a lot less often. The food is pretty good, including in the cafeteria. The late Goon, Harry Secombe was a fan of this hospital and he equipped it with one of the first CAT scans in England.

So someone at the hospital had told her so watch out as confidentiality is not great there and they did not do anything about my complaint. They keep closing departments down in this hospital so might find sooner or later it closes for good, the nearest hospital after this is much better but of course 20 minutes further.

First of all, and importantly, this is NOT an A+E ward. If your injuries are really serious don't go here. This is a walk in centre for minor injuries, burns and illnesses. emergency contraception and x-rays. You don't need an appointment to come here. Which is good for me because a couple of years ago I was going about my daily business, had just had a yummy tuna sandwich for lunch, and all of a sudden had a red rash all over my body. I was taken to Teddington hospital, where there were no queues and seen immediately. The nurse took one look at me and asked if I had eaten tuna for lunch. I said I had and she quickly diagnosed it as eating fish that has botulism which can shut down the major organs of your body within a couple of hours. An hour later, a stint under an oxygen mask and dosed up to the eyeballs with antihistamines I was free to go. Had I not been seen to so quickly, something much worse could have happened, but thanks to the nurse I am sitting here happily with a cup of tea (and no more tuna sandwiches).

Teddington Hospital is not an A&E hospital, and you are unlikely to be visiting relatives here…read more Instead, this is a minor injuries walk in unit (though obviously, some can't walk in, as they've injured their feet). This place has become, however, so much more. Since it has become increasingly difficult to get an appointment at local doctor's surgeries, it has become a bit of an emergency surgery - where people go when they have an ailment or injury and are finding it impossible to see their own GP. Especially on weekends, there can be quite a long wait - over 3 hours sometimes. You'll be seen by a triage nurse first, then a 'normal' nurse, and, depending on the injury or ailment, you may well be treated by the nurse, or you may be asked to wait to see a doctor. For the most part, I have found the care there to be friendly yet professional and efficient. I have never visited there for my own problems. but I have taken my daughter there a couple of times, and my husband has also visited a few times - most recently for cellulitus. There is an onsite pharmacy, and a small (very small) and bumpy car park. The building is quite an old and imposing one, and there is a memorial at the front for our war dead. I do hope this hospital survives rounds of NHS cuts. It provides an invaluable service to the local 'walking wounded', thus sparing the two local A&E hospitals (West Middlesex and Kingston) some less serious conditions.

No more than 2 hours, 2 x-rays and 1 consultation later I received all my answers and left with no questions. I felt taken care of and the healthcare professional team is insanely nice--way more empathic than what I feel in the States. Not to mention the cleanliness is impeccable, wow! I never leave reviews either but dang the medical system in the UK definitely deserves it.

I initially put it down to a typo and asked for it to be corrected in line with the GDPR and GMC guidelines that state records must be accurate an honest. The hospital refused. So a patient's word counts for nothing, if your title is Dr you can falsify patient records and your employer will support you. I find this so insane, Veronica's claim doesn't sound plausible, doesnt have a ring of truth and is just plain unbelievable. She and the hospital know they are putting my health at risk by denying me the care to which I am entitled. I wouldnt care if I wasnt forced to fund this charade; but we pay the salaries of the people who literally hate us and want us dead.
