It was exactly what I needed - not a nice relaxing massage, she really got in there and worked on my back. I was up and walking around pretty much back to normal the next day. I signed up with Steve Jordan Pilates, just round the corner from me near Tower Bridge Road in SE1, and had two one-on-one sessions with an excellent, thoroughly professional teacher Tracey Boles, a former triathalon athlete who is super fit/toned (there are two other very good teachers). I've now joined small, group sessions and am really beginning to notice the difference. You do this thing called Roll Downs where you have to stand against a wall and slowly curve your spine up and down, feeling every single vertebrae. Some of it feels quite meditative, like yoga. With my running and Pilates I feel like my body is getting a complete workout.

The cafe menu is basic but decent. It's located in between Euston and Euston Square undergrounds so it's dead easy to get to.
