I can say that meeting Mike at Scan has been a very lucky surprise in our quest to furnish our new house. He is knowledgeable, available, and honest. He is not out to BS you or quick sell you. He treats you like an intelligent human being and is not pushy at all. He is honest about his prices and although I haven't received our order yet, I cannot imagine any hiccups (I will update this review later after delivery) that he will not personally resolve. Most of all, his prices are extremely competitive. Being an avid internet shopper and also having checked out prices on the exact same special order pieces at Hold It Furniture and Lawrence, Scan Furniture House is quite a bit cheaper than the local shops and on par with the internet shops. You will definitely save enough to make the drive to Mira Mesa worth it. Update 7/2017: We've worked with Scan and Mike for several months now and have had a very positive experience. We have ordered multiple bedroom sets and a custom Ekornes recliner from Scan. Mike is an all around good guy who treats his customers extraordinarily well. He has a no pressure attitude toward furniture sales, but really knows his stuff when you ask him anything. Anytime I have the option to purchase a piece from Scan versus elsewhere, I will choose Scan based on their excellent service and very competitive pricing. Honestly, looking at it now I can't believe I ever considered it. It came out so beautiful, I can't help but to keep staring at it. It's gorgeous, like a work of art. Also, you can grab a soda water or a beer as you stroll around. A couple years ago, we purchased a wicker table with a glass top and matching chairs, also with Sunbrella fabric cushions and a matching umbrella from patio productions. It has been great quality and hasn't faded or chipped in the weather, despite that we have left it out the entire time. That time, our delivery date got pushed back a couple times, which was a little bothersome and we were wondering when the furniture would arrive. It did arrive and has been a great set for our outdoor dining. This time, we selected an aluminum patio set (sofa, loveseat, and two chairs) with matching Sunbrella fabric cushions, and furniture covers for everything. The experience was great and the furniture was delivered exactly on our requested date. They even had our selected Sunbrella color in stock. I love that the furniture came securely wrapped, but the delivery is curbside, and they do not take off the backing material. For us, it took two people with a knife and a pair of scissors 30 minutes to unpack... not to mention three large trash bags were filled with plastic packing material. Aside from the unpacking, we are very happy with the set and it looks really beautiful on our back patio.
