I would highly advise to not rent at Creekside Court Apartments. They try to convince you that they…read moreare cheap and the best place to live off of campus but it is a complete scam. Yes, compared to the dorms Creekside is cheaper. However, this past year rent was $630 a month if you were paying monthly rent and that was for one person. If you include the other three people living with you that totals $2,520 a month! Utilities are included which is nice however you have to pay to use the washer and dryer although you are already paying $630 a month for one room. Not to mention, rent is increasing this upcoming year to I believe $660 a month. Also, the apartment that I lived in was the cheapest option, believe it or not, there are even more expensive options. There is no reason why you should have to pay for laundry on top of that ridiculous price. The apartments are nice but they are not very spacious and definitely not worth $630 a month. If you were to have roommates you could rent an entire HOUSE in Shippensburg for cheaper than you would rent an apartment at Creekside, utilities included. When you move into Creekside they give you what is basically a "Rule Book" telling you the Do's and Don'ts while living at Creekside. One of the things mentioned is of course noise. It states that there is a quite time of 10:00 PM on the weekdays. It stated that if you were to file a noise complaint the tenants would be given a warning. If an apartment were to receive more than three or four noise complaints the tenants would either be fined or face eviction. My roommates and I had a terrible time with the neighbors above us. They were obnoxiously loud and would frequently throw parties during the weekdays. We filed numerous noise complaints with Creekside, well over the three or four required for the tenants to face punishment. We also had security go up to their apartment one night to ask them to quite down. Still, they continued to be loud and disruptive. When we asked Creekside what they were doing about it, they said to either contact security or call the local police. It turns out that this "Rule Book" is simply a guideline and Creekside has no way of actually enforcing it. When my roommates and I signed a lease at Creekside we had to give a $200 security deposit. Figuring we would get it back once we moved out if there were no damages or anything crazy like that. We all took very good care of the apartment while we lived there and cleaned regularly. When the time came to move out we spent hours upon hours cleaning our apartment and taking the advice Creekside had given everyone on how to properly clean the apartment before moving out. Again, we spent many many hours cleaning the apartment to make sure that we would not get charged for cleaning. Creekside gave us a paper explaining how much we would be charged if something were not cleaned, basically to their standards. My roommates and I just recently received our financial move out statement. Each of us were charged $37.50 for the cleaning of the tile floor. Although we swept and swiffered it before moving out. We were each also charged $30.00 for "Cleaning of apartment". Once again we cleaned for hours upon hours just to be charged a fee that is unfair and uncalled for. In total Creekside received $67.50 from me and each of my roommates totaling $270, for an apartment that was basically spotless. They are money hungry and will make up whatever excuse they can to take money from you. If I were you I would save my time and my money and live somewhere else. Creekside is not worth your money. It is close to campus but there are plenty of other options out there that are close to campus, cheaper, and a lot more spacious.

Has to be the worst apartment complex in the college area if not the entire PA area. When we moved…read morein, it looked like the frat guys from animal house had moved out just minutes before. Broken door frames, holes in the walls, appliances were disgusting etc. no internet although it was included in our rent, no hot water in the bathroom for 2 months and the list goes on and on. Management is inept, constantly delays responses and makes excuses. Very poorly managed and staff is not invested in serving its student residents. Parties at all hours of the night, and now they decided to assign parking spaces with little common sense, causing many of us to now have to park several buildings away and carry groceries in the rain and snow (in a a few months) when it is unnecessary. Don't move to this place, you will regret it. It's run by amateurs but lord knows your check better be on time or else! Trash piles up around the dumpsters and the landscaping etc looks like hell. If I could give negative stars, I would! Don't live here. You will not be happy.
