The class itself was hatha so I wasn't expecting an experience where i would be dripping sweat, but this was a very gentle class...yes you can deepen the postures as you need to, but that was challenging when there were so many people in the class that we had little room to accommodate. Scenic tour on Lake Erie and you're almost guaranteed to see a bald eagle and other wildlife. The highlight was the last bald eagle that flew close by - first time for me seeing one. I feel more balanced, as I know that the combination of the exercises, gong baths, and meditation is a full-circle healing and an amazing method for centering and grounding. At first I was going once a week, because it is a "class", but now, I feel like the practices are more integrated into my state of presence - my state of being. I have started other yoga programs before, but this is the only one I stuck with! The Level 1 is great for anyone who is interested in yoga (whether you have never done it before or used to practice a long time ago). The owner and instructor, Brooke, is very knowledgeable and personable. She welcomes questions and really individualizes each session to the students who are present. I am learning how to incorporate the practice of yoga into my every day life to be more present and less stressed.
