Clifton Park Rental

Rented some tables, linens, and chairs for a Party…read more CPRC is easy to deal with, relatively quick to get in and out of. The tables and chairs were in rental condition. Linens were clean as they come. Prices I guess were reasonable. I picked up so I can't speak to delivery or setup. Loses one star for hard to get to hours.

I recently used Clifton Park Rentals for my wedding, and while the end result was what we wanted, I…read morefelt like they were manipulative in their pricing. The online brochure states prices from 2006 (9 years ago!), and we didn't know this until after we met in person at the store and had someone survey our venue. When we pointed out that the new prices are 1.5-2x the online prices, they were not flexible or apologetic. 100% of their business is renting out the items on the brochure, so for them to "not realize this" for almost a decade is obviously a lure to get the customer's foot in the door. Finally, we had to remove about half the items on the invoice that they randomly added on for reasons unknown. When we asked to remove tent walls, their response was pretty much, "we will just keep it on the bill in case it rains. Check the weather and let us know by Monday if you don't need it." Of course this was the busiest week of our lives and we didn't let them know by Monday, since we had already in our minds let them know, but still they would not refund the items that never made it off the truck. Not exactly sure what all that money paid for... If you have an unlimited budget, you'll be happy with the quality of their items. However, if you care about bait and switch practices and company honesty, please don't use Clifton Park Rental. If we weren't planning this last minute, and literally had no other option (trust me, I called around), we would have dropped them the minute they charged us double what was quoted.

Pro's: The weather was beautiful and the scenery of the plush landscape and lake were great for a wedding! The main course was excellent, some of the best wedding food I have had. There was a lot of space and chairs for people to sit and talk outside of the pavilion. Ruth was great and very attentive to the couple and the wedding party and parents. Con's:The couple told me they had problems with getting questions answered timely and there was also confusion on who was a partner vendor and who wasn't. The wedding party didn't get any drinks or cocktail hour snacks while taking pictures. I heard from other guests there wasnt much being passed around and people were starving after waiting in line for a cocktail (one bartender for 150 person wedding). BUGS BUGS BUGS, thank god there was bug spray in the bathroom baskets because they were out and with vengeance. No water on the table- really odd, if you wanted water you had to go to the bar. Also, where was the champagne for a toast? Depending on where the ceremony is you may need to help elderly guests get up and down steep hills. All in all it was a great event for the couple. If the facility took care of a couple minor issues then they would have no problem being one of the best wedding facilities in the capital region!

We had actually worked with him a year earlier for a smaller event as a trial run, and after that experience, we knew we could trust him with our big day--and he did not disappoint. Both times, Kenis was an absolute joy to work with: professional, responsive, and genuinely kind. It's clear he cares deeply about both his work and his clients. In addition to the tents, we also rented tables, chairs, a sofa set, and a dance floor--all of which were fantastic and exactly what we envisioned. Despite setting up in the pouring rain and being short-staffed, Kenis handled everything with a smile and such a positive attitude. His dedication and attention to detail truly stood out. If we ever need an event tent again, we know exactly who to call. We would recommend Event-in-a-Tent without hesitation. The prices might seem high at first, but once you see the quality, care, and effort that go into everything, it's clear that it's worth every penny.

Booking a tipi tent seemed daunting, but their friendly staff helped me book everything we needed from the tent, to furniture and then had everything set up and ready to go for the big day! Then the crew came and collected everything the following day, very quick and efficient, I would definitely recommend them!

There are stairs up to the second floor. My friend and I took the stairs up from the front door. We bought snacks and I bought a drink at the small concession stand. We showed our tickets and then took the elevator upstairs to the third floor where the performances happen. There isn't much seating where the performances happened. That's what made it all the better! The building is historic and really cool. Buffalo Bill Cody, John Philip Sousa, and P.T. Barnum's baby elephant have all performed there decades ago. There are photos of some of the people who performed there, as you take the stairs out of the building. I'm so glad I had the experience of viewing a great concert at this cool place!

Also, the way that it's designed showcases the stage so well that there is not a bad seat in the house. I was impressed that you could take the stairs, or the elevator depending on the location of your seat. I was seated up on the Balcony Center and it was great. I also liked how there was ample parking out front and nearby so you didn't have to go far. I will be back again to see other performances and shows here!
