I had my dog at Enzo's Acres about 4 years ago now and had a horrible experience that they never made right. I wrote a review about my dog being injured when I got him back and had zero response from the trainers at all. They blamed the metal on the ecollar and said he might be allergic to the metal and suggested that he may need the hypoallergenic version (which is funny because I bought that collar and gave them the entire contents of the box that included the one they were talking about him possibly needing) As I've already written a review about that experience, I don't want to go into too much detail... but as it was so long ago I can't update the post at all, as I'm looking at getting my younger dog into a board and train soon I was given more resources from reputable trainers to know whether a training facility has met certain requirements or not in order to know if you should take your dog there. Well I just happened to be curious and did a search for Enzo's acres on these resources and come to find out they aren't a certified member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers... or any other training association that I can find. I thought I would make sure that this information is out there so people can make an educated decision of where to take their beloved pets to. This picture is of one of the 2 wounds that my dog came home with from Enzo's acres. It required an emergency vet visit and antibiotics. What was the worst was they didn't even mention it to me at all! They also removed my review of them on Facebook and blocked me from commenting/replying on anything on their page. That is HORRIBLE business practice as I only went there due to amazing reviews. So if they deleted my review and blocked me I ABSOLUTELY KNOW they did it to others as well. This is HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!

We took our two dogs to training at Enzo's, and were very pleased with the results. They mind when walking on leash, stay in place on command, as well as here, sit and down. Grace was our trainer, teaching us as well as the dogs. The patience and consistency that she demonstrated with us must be part of her success with the dogs, and she is a role model for how we should interact with the dogs.

I would give no stars if I could. My dog went to the 2 week training and came home sick. She got pneumonia and died a week after bringing her home. The owner initially said she would pay for the vet bills. Then the day we had to put out dog to sleep she called and told us it was our fault and she was not going to pay the bills. I guess when the bill got over $4,000 she decided she wasn't paying anymore. Don't take your dog to a person who doesn't take responsibility for what happens at her business and definitely didn't care about my puppy.

My dog is now somewhat trained, which is wonderful, however he was trained using an aversive collar. I wasn't informed if this before hand, I only found out when I picked him up. There are more humane ways to train dogs, and if I had known about the prong/aversive collar I would NOT have chosen Enzo's Acres. When I picked up my dog his eye was oozing some goop as well, which I wasn't contacted or told about prior to pick up. I have no idea how long his eye was infected for, or if anyone at Enzo's noticed. I noticed immediately when I looked at him so it makes me wonder how much attention he actually got, or if he was locked in a crate the majority of the .

I have a 4 YO Basset Hound who needed some help with basic manners. He did the three week day training, and I'm so happy with the results! He now practices place, walking on a leash and recall, among other things. I was worried about leaving my dog somewhere for the day, but every morning when I'd grab his prong collar, he'd come running and sit down, ready to work. He loved it at Enzo's! He will definitely be going back for daycare. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful here. Grace did our go home lessons and did a great job explaining what we needed to do for Oscar at home! She was very kind and patient, and always willing to answer our questions. I highly recommend Enzo's.

I've always been a very conscientious pet owner so when it comes to training my dogs, I only want the best. That's exactly what I got when Enzo's Acres was referred to me. They have trained two of my dogs including my very headstrong German wirehaired pointer. I can't say enough good things about the training and the attention to detail the owners provide. On top of it, once my dogs we're trained, Enzos Acres was a excellent place to board my girls. They got lots of exercise and even on rainy days, my GWP would get to go on the treadmill! Really, you can't go wrong with this company!

The way my dog Rowan has calmed down with the training is wonderful, I get to watch him make decisions and I love seeing his brain calm down. Rowan was already my emotional support dog, but we needed him to be very well trained for when my husband comes home with his service dog. The staff kept us up to date several times a week with pictures on their Facebook page, and Shannon also called to update us. With the training package we chose, Man's Best Friend provided us with their Top Dog Academy online videos. We have lifetime access and we watched them several times at our own pace, we also watched the videos with our kids so they were fully aware of the expectations and new rules with our dog. The 3 hour training session with Shannon was so informative, Shannon clearly loves dogs and is very passionate about her business. I am a disabled combat veteran, but do not qualify for a 'service animal' from non-profits because I do not have the 'correct' diagnosis, even though I suffer from the same exact symptoms as those with PTSD. My wife's mother, who lives in Europe, recently had a stroke and my wife has been by her side since early August. If I hope to see my wife at all over the next several years, because of her and my commitment to ensure that her mother gets the care and attention she deserves, we needed to be much closer than the Pacific NW, hence our uprooting. In order to have Kemper fly with me in the cabin on a grueling 10-hour trans-Atlantic flight, he needed some several skills which he was lacking when we adopted him from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society after six years of being abandoned and abused, for no reason, by one owner after another. Even with his unjust and unconscionable treatment early in life, he is one of the sweetest and dogs I have ever known. Julie and Kemper quickly developed a strong bond and she was willing to work with me one-on-one, tailoring a training plan for both of us to get us where we need to be with just two months before boarding the plane. Having a Master's in Psychology, I am an expert in operant and classical conditioning, but lacked the understanding of how dogs think, so Julie was training both of us along the way. Kemper picked-up on things quickly and me, not so much, but we were compelled to get the job done and succeed in our mission, no room for error. Paws Down is not exactly cheap when it comes to private training, but Julie did not charge for travel time to our home and routinely stayed after the allotted one-hour appointment times. Yesterday, less than two months after starting with Julie, Kemper passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test and his certificate is on the way, arriving well before we need it for travel to our new home. Thank you Paws Down and Julie for helping me ensure that my support animal and I make it safely to Europe, reuniting our family after moths apart. If I didn't, she would bolt out of the house and it would become humans herding the herding dog. She would almost always trip me when taking her for a walk and there was one time she took off and pulled the lead out of my hand and almost got hit by a car. In the house, she targeted and chased my cats. I was hoping being a puppy, she would adapt as she grew with them.... Boy, I was wrong. I was telling my frustrations with the above to a coworker one afternoon. He told me of Jill at Countryside Kennels and what they did for his 2 Dobermans 10 years ago. He said that he took 2 unruly dogs down to them, left them for 4 weeks, picked them up after a few hours of training the humans. He said that his family got back perfect dogs. I got their number from my coworker and reached out to Countryside. I talked with Erin for more specifics. I wanted to see if they still professionally trained dogs since 10 years ago was a long time. She explained everything to me and what was expected. I was very happy with what they had to offer so decided to go for it. They were already booked out into March 2019 but Erin offered to put me on a cancellation list. A month went by and I got a call asking if I would like to take her to them the beginning of December 2018. I jumped on it! What I got back is a loving dog who has major self-control! I have no problems with her running off... or even going through a door without permission. The best part is at dinner time, I say Mindi go to your bed... she goes and I tell her to stay while we cook dinner and eat. This can take an hour to an hour and a half or so. Mindi stays put and she is a real good and loving puppy that likes to keep us happy. Jill warned me that she may still be nasty to the cats... I am pleased to say that they can co-exist in the same room with my cats! She is much more obedient...... I mean She is now obedient! She was not before. Thanks so much Jill and Erin!
