I was disappointed that no one answered the phone to schedule service although they said they were open 24hrs/day.

Because they were so short of oxygen, they lowered the amount of oxygen administered to her way below what she needed. My mother suffered terribly struggling so hard to breathe, that she became tachycardic. We were told about 90 mins out from Honolulu to say our goodbyes because the medical staff thought my mother was going to die, not from her cancer, but because they were going to run out of oxygen before we could make it home. In addition to the torture of not being able to breathe, they lost her vein and were unable to administer pain meds. My mother's untreated cancer pain was so severe that she cracked two teeth during this horrible flight. Although she had been alert and conscious right up until the flight from Houston, my poor mother had lost consciousness by the end of the flight and never regained consciousness again until she died the following morning. I believe that it was the Alia flight which hastened her death. I was traumatized seeing my mother's suffering on the flight and the terrible memories of it still trouble me. After my mother passed away, I wrote a letter to Alia's CEO asking why there had not been enough oxygen cannisters on the plane knowing how much oxygen she had used on the flight from Houston to Phoenix. He said he would look into it, but he never got back to me, and he also did not respond to a second letter that I sent to him. I would have given Alia no stars if I could have. Although this flight was 4 years ago, it is still a horrific memory and causes me considerable heartache knowing how much my mother suffered during the last day of her life. Please do not risk your loved one's life on an Alia flight.
