When I booked her for my wedding, I was told that she "meets with the bride a month beforehand to give the bride all her attention." When we tried to schedule a meeting, she was too busy. I ended up calling and she was driving. I took notes and emailed her but was not given the time for her to understand my wants. On the day of the wedding Brittany's second photographer spent her time taking photos of my dress and shoes...without me in them. I specifically said I didn't care for these, nor did I need pictures of the decor. I wanted photos of PEOPLE, as was discussed in our phone call. During the reception, Brittany got her caricature done by an artist we hired for OUR guests. This took away from photos of guests she could have taken. We ended up with only 10 pictures of guests. When we received the photos (TWO MONTHS after the wedding), there were things that disappointed my husband and I such as the quality of photos, what was photographed (decor and the dress/rings), and the lighting of photos. Brittany is fixing the lighting best she can on most of the photos. We do not feel we received the care and dedication I've seen in previous work from Bay Productions. I am disappointed in the unprofessionalism and how my concerns were handled. If you book Bay Productions, be sure to have a face-to-face pre-wedding meeting. They do amazing photos, their truest work was just not shown in my wedding photos.

I had my wedding at the Dallas Arboretum and the wedding coordinator that was assigned to me was truly awful. There were problems with the set-up that she had no intention of solving and she brought me close to tears with her rudeness 5 minutes before the guests were set arrive. Laura (who I had just met in person that day) jumped in and took charge. She cheered me up, reassured me that she would handle things and sent me off to get dressed. When I walked down the aisle, everything had been set right thanks to Laura! Scott and team were the most patient and hard-working artists I've ever met - not resting until we got the perfect shot (I had a few imagines in mind that I wanted to re-create). Trish was a photographer that shot the 'getting ready' process and behind the scenes with my bridesmaids before the wedding started - two words, TRUST her - she took some of the most beautiful photos! I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so other parents can…read moremake an informed decision before booking. I hired Jolan Jade Photography after reviewing her beautiful online portfolio, which showcased thoughtfully styled newborn portraits, professional posing, and a variety of creative compositions. Unfortunately, the photographs I received were vastly different from the quality and variety advertised. I paid $600 for a gallery consisting largely of repetitive photographs, nearly identical overhead angles, and minimal variation in posing or composition. Many of the images were essentially duplicates with slightly different facial expressions. The difference between her advertised portfolio and the actual work delivered was incredibly disappointing. What made this experience even more frustrating was the lack of professionalism. When I expressed my concerns, rather than acknowledging the significant differences in quality, she attributed the results to my son's age and size, the lighting in my home, and even complained about my nanny. For context, this is my third child and my third experience with professional newborn and childhood photography. I am very familiar with how these sessions work and what to reasonably expect. I have had the same nanny and the same lighting conditions in my home during previous photography sessions without experiencing these issues. Furthermore, my husband, sister, and nanny were all present during the session, and all three commented afterward on how unprofessional they found her conduct. Unfortunately, I wasn't present for the entire session, but hearing the same concerns from three people who witnessed it was incredibly disappointing. I also provided my son's exact age and measurements before booking. If his age, size, or the conditions in my home would significantly limit the photographer's ability to produce work comparable to her advertised portfolio, I believe those concerns should have been communicated beforehand rather than used as explanations afterward. Newborn photographs are irreplaceable memories. These are moments you cannot recreate, and choosing a photographer is an important decision built on trust, professionalism, and the quality of work they advertise. My disappointment goes far beyond simply disliking a few photographs. It is the substantial discrepancy between the work advertised and delivered, the lack of variety and attention to detail, and the overall experience. I strongly encourage other parents to request complete, recent client galleries rather than relying solely on the carefully selected photographs displayed on a website. After three children and three professional photography experiences, this was by far my most disappointing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this photographer.
