I have a lot of hair and it is very long and dark. I have a few grays and it's annoying, but still I like to color my hair blue black. I always got half asses services and unsolicited opinions on how my hair should be done since it is "already pretty dark and you won't be able to tell." I always can. I have seen Marissa multiple times and have never found any blotchy spots. She takes the time to understand what you want. She's very clean, polite, and knowledgeable. Typically I grow out my hair for a year, year and a half and donate it. However I got my hair caught in a fan and had to get a cut to make it look even. Thankfully the ladies here were super nice! A month ago I decided to get a balayage, and I searched tidiously for a good hair salon. I found Christina & Martin Salon. They had great reviews. Unfortunately, there was a technical error with Yelp and I was brought to this Hair Salon. Thinking I was being attended by a hairstylist from Christina & Martin Salon, I booked an appointment with Nicole Ruggeri. Nicole has been by far the worst hairstylist I booked. After she started I knew I wasn't getting the hair professional that I was looking for. She didn't part my hair correctly and drenched my hair unevenly with bleach. She also finished far to earlier than what I am used to (she booked a client right after me). The reason why I failed to go back to get my hair fixed was because I knew I didn't want her to work with my hair anymore. She definitely rushed through my hair. The reason why I am posting this is because I know I am not the first person to have this issue with Yelp, to get mistakenly routed to this hair salon, and have to pay for a color correction later. I've had the same stylist for years and very loyal. I had for the first time a very bad experience. When my stylist had escorted me to a dryer for the color to set, she had to check a couple different dryers to find one that worked. Another stylist, Liz, came up a few minutes later and asked me to move so HER client could use a Working Dryer. She insisted I could only use it five more minutes then I needed to move to a non working dryer seat. OK! First I was really annoyed by a rude employee but why are stylists and customers having to wait their turn to use working equipment? This is a nice Salon charging prices that should allow for use of equipment or products without any concern. read more

In desperate need of a haircut, and tired of driving 20 miles out of my way to my regular salon only to be passed around to every employee in the place due to scheduling conflicts, I went in search of a new home. I've passed by this salon so many times and finally decided it was time. I didn't have an appointment because I could never remember the name. Fully expecting to just walk in and make an appointment to come back later, I was told by the sweet receptionist that she could squeeze me in since Jenn's next appointment was running late. Score! Jenn was very pleasant, listened to what I wanted, made a couple of suggestions and we were on our way. Turns out, Entourage was less expensive than my old place. I did check in with the reception area and was told to wait at her station. I waited 30 minutes and Kendra was no where to be found. So you can try and make excuses for her but they will go unheard. Maybe instead of trying to make up stories you should take more classes so you can learn how to do someones hair. Funny that you had to write your own review. As far as canceling appts, ummm you were the one who cancelled because you had to pick up your child from practice. Dont remember that do you?? I am done with this. Tonya, she is damn good at what she does. Cuts, color, you name it. I've been sitting in her chair for 9+ years and will not let anyone else touch my hair. I've had so many compliments from complete strangers who stop me in parking lots, grocery stores...the mall..my kids play group they all say "where do you get your hair done and by who" I drive over an hour one way to have my hair done and I have to find care for my two kids but it is all worth it. Her prices are resonable, especially for the area. She is quick and well educated. I LOVE her. The salon is clean and everyone has been super friendly. Two reasons for only 4 stars - it iS a bit pricey, which is expected (85 for a partial weave), and when I walked in, NO ONE greeted me. I went in this morning to have my undercut touched up, and since then, large quantities and chunks of my long hair have been falling out for the entire day. When I got out of the car, chunks of my long hair on the seat! It looks like the hair stylist was shaving off chunks of my long hair next to the hair line. I am incredibly confused. The hair line is extremely jagged, parts of my hair are missing, and my hair has been thinned. The only solution for this would be to reshave the hair line which means now I will have to shave off significantly more hair, which I was not intending to do at all, because this will leave me with significantly less hair. I am truly baffled. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When I called, the front desk manager was very nice and offered for me to come in to see the owner to figure out what to do. I did not go in because I would prefer to go to another place that I know and trust, but I will say that this was very professional of her and that probably the owner would have a done a good job. Nonetheless, this has had a serious impact on my hair and it is very upsetting. read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Nicole for years, and will NEVER see her again!!! First off she didn't wash my hair, she gave me the worst haircut I've ever had and she didn't even style my hair! She's professional, personable and cares deeply about your hair.
