THIEVES work for Enterprise. STILL NO RESOLUTION. My wedding ring is gone, and HEATHER (the manager who closed out my rental and even told me she cleaned the truck) STOLE it. Occam's razor explains it. Enterprise at the Skidaway Rd Savannah store employs thieves and liars. I returned a Ford F150 to this location on Thursday January 15th approximately 1:00-1:30 PM. About an hour before I arrived, I had taken off my diamond wedding band and placed it in the cupholder to rub Purell on my hands. Tired and road weary, I failed to put the ring back on and left it in the cupholder. I return the truck. And I didn't realize the ring was left in the cupholder. I call a few hours later (after 9 hours on the road) and called the location. They claim that NOBODY saw the ring. 100% lie. Impossible. It was there, whoever cleaned the cab, took it and kept it. I was told that a manager would "start an investigation" and now a week later, I haven't heard anything and probably won't. And since I live 5 hours away, I can't just hop in my car and visit local pawn shops looking for my wedding ring. Even after I emailed 2 people at corporate, I've heard nothing. Radio silence. This ring is a family heirloom and it was stolen by one of Enterprise's employees. This world is getting worse by the day, and more and more people are becoming less and less caring about anybody but themselves. Honesty and integrity seems to be optional. A rarity. I'm giving this location 2 stars because the staff was friendly and genuinely tried to help--but the rental system itself is seriously flawed. I've now had multiple experiences where I reserve a specific car ahead of time, only to show up and be told it's unavailable. What's the point of offering the option to choose a car if that choice doesn't mean anything? Other Enterprise locations I've used usually have at least some options within the class I booked but this one never seems to. They either need more vehicles or a better booking system to avoid wasting people's time and expectations. read more

Awful experience. I called and was told my vehicle was ready. Once I arrived it wasn't and was told they were unsure when it would be ready. I asked to have my price reduced by $20 to pay for the Lyft since my vehicle isn't ready. They said no. Heather the manager acted clueless and was on her personal cell while trying to help me. We rode an Uber paid $50 to pick up our car rental. We got to this place told us they don't have a car available but they got busy and forgot to inform us. Very unprofessional. Oddly enough, while waiting for another Uber to leave this place the guy was calling customers asking what they could do better. Ugh. Pretty obvious, a little courtesy call would've helped. Not a great place, and very frustrating situation to be at. And customer service training would be helpful for the staff in this place. Will one of the reps seem to think you owe him something. Along with the blonde hair young lady who was working the desk this morning. He seem to be bothered by my luxury SUV. As I was on a personal call while waiting. They assumed I was talking about them. While I was on two separate phone calls they left the desk. When I got back to the counter no one came to assist. A lady from the back desk came to help me. After she pulled the information to get the car. The young lady walked in between us and being to whisper clearly about me. I then asked if it was an issue. The other young lady said I don't know what is going on. The lady who interrupted us stated well when you were on the phone you were talking about us. I then stated I was talking about you I was talking about Allstate but that isn't your business. I informed her not only do I have a car but I am not proving a thing to them especially because I have few vehicles at my disposal. The young man at the downtown location was great!! read more

I had a reservation at 9 at Enterprise on Skidaway Road, they open at 8. I arrived they were waiting on other customers and said that they didn't have any clean cars. I asked how long it would be she said 35 min., I told her I would be back by 10. I arrived back at 10, she was waiting on someone else. She finished with them, asked for my info., along with my credit card, insurance cards etc., she then walked outside with the other person she was working with. Then she came back in and said she needed to check the others (5 customers in) first before she assigned me my car. I asked if the car was clean she said yes, I said well no other car rental place I have rented from do it like this, no other enterprise either, plus I had other appointment. She responded she do. She claim that she tried to call me-she says that all of the time it's an issue. They have my correct number, I spoke to another employee this morning and provided my phone number for her to verify the rental on the phone. This is the 2nd time this same employee lies about trying to reach me. She cancelled a vehicle we had reserved during the time of SSU homecoming. I will not deal with her or this enterprise. I don't car how close they are to me. Other employees on site, 1 other was answering the multiple calls that was coming one after another, and the others don't know what they were doing 2 looked like they were washing vehicles. A day after a holiday, a company as well-known as Enterprise should be prepared! Prepared with clean cars, enough staff and staff that knows how to handle to the front desk. I always have a great experience at this location. They always take care of me and get me on my way quickly. When the car dealership that was working on my car was off schedule and it was time to pick my car up, I had no way to drop off the rental. Enterprise told me I could leave it at the dealership and THEY would pick it up. That was a life saver. Also, the car I rented had a lightning to USB-C adaptor which is unusual and I didn't have any way to plug in my phone for maps. The agent brought out her very own adaptor to let me use. I only go to this location whenever I need a car which I use for consulting trips quite regularly. Thanks team! Update: If you're not going to pick people up for their rentals anymore then you should remove it from your literature and website. I never had to use that option but the one time I did I was disappointed. read more

We just had the best experience with Eric and Enterprise on Skidaway! We rented a vehicle for a week. They were more than accommodating about our needs. I would highly recommend this location. They were both friendly and professional. We feel that they met with all the high standards needed during this Covid time. Look forward to our next rental with this group. read more

I see why this place has 1 star. The customer service here needs a huge improvement. Sophie one of the reps doesn't present the class of service for being at the counter. She attempted to give me a rental stating it had been cleaned and sanitized. Why would I find coffee spills that can be leaned with a paper towel? I wouldn't recommend renting from here. read more

Another great experience and a beautiful car for vacation ! This month, I made my second visit to Thunderbolt for vacation and reserved a convertible for the trip. I went in to pick up the car at 10:00am, but the previous renter still had not returned the car yet. The team switched to Plan B on the spot, found another convertible in Statesboro, had it delivered from there, and by the time I went in at 10:00am, the car was already pulling into Savannah. Considering all that they had to do on short notice, I got a great car and literally no waiting time while they took care of the details. I will definitely recommend these guys to everyone, not just for the work they do, but also for the kindness and service they show to their customers. read more

Wish I could give an one star if your darker than a sheet of paper don't even come here. I couldn't even rent the branch manger redirected me to other companies to rent from. "Why don't you find another car company to rent from"? And he asked for numerous paperwork from me paystubs , utilities, insurance lease. I've never been asked for additional information such as that when renting a car I've never used an different car company when renting I've always used Enterprise since 2015. I've never been treated so inhumane before. It was truly distasteful to be treated so racially profiled. I've rented at this same location before but under different management that's why I've decided to come back but never again will my name come up in the system for rental with Enterprise and I encourage anyone whom is darker than a sheet of paper to not rent with them to find another company where our black money is welcome my Name is Belinda Williams. When I came in I wasn't even greeted only the white people around me were serviced. I don't like to wrongly or plainly push around the word racist but today it was truly displayed. Received the nastiest car I've ever rented from this location. The smell and "hair" was so disgusting none of would touch anything and all sat on grocery bags. Of course, it was the "only car" they had unless I wanted to wait over two hours so we had to take. Thanks goodness it was only a short overnight trip. Renting Weekender BEWARE! Essentially I rented a car on a Friday from site manager Deana. She was very thorough and polite and it was a very smooth transaction. As I was caught in Atlanta during some of their snow storm, I looked to extend my trip from the original Tues return, to Friday. I called the local Savannah branch and Rep took good care to extend the reservation with the caveat, "If you return the vehicle after closing on Friday, you'll be charged an extra "day." As I returned back to Savannah after closing, as I'd originally picked up the car in the afternoon from this location, in my mind, "another day," is exactly that. However as I would come to painfully learn, this location is the only location that closes at noon on Saturday but I thought nothing of that, and had no prior knowledge about this as nothing had been relayed to me from Enterprise; when I came back at 2PM or so on Saturday to find the location closed. All the same, I deposited my keys as instructed in the after hours box and considered the transaction complete. Much to my surprise, come Monday morning, I find that Enterprise has charged me not one, but two other additional days or by my count, three days. Now, harmless mistake? Charging me for two days in which the car was not in my handling or personal realm? Could be so I called the national Enterprise number to register the concern for being over charged. The first sign of trouble was that with the receipt I received in my email, there was no true reservation number even though one was identified on the email. But according to the Customer Service Rep, this was not a legitimate number and that he would transfer me to the local branch. Upon being transferred without any pre-explanation by one agent from another, but simply transferred as if calling on my own, I was received by an attendant named Brian. Now bear in mind I was not angry at all, but simply putting in an inquiry and when of course I was told that because they close at 12, that if I drop off after 12, I'm then arbitrarily charged 2 extra days, I maintained my calm, and asked "who do I contest that to." Long pause and then he embarrassedly confessed, "I don't honestly know" and some side office conversation took place, i was placed on hold. Brian then came back with more of the stiff upper lip that this was company policy and that there was nothing he could do. I then continued to plainly state to him that while on hold, there was all of this commercial recording about how "Enterprise was a family owned business in a corporate world" and I asked him if that seemed very "family friendly" taking advantage of an operational open to close loophole and penalizing the customer for what was Enterprise's choice as far as their hours of operation? There was silence and then some curt retort. At this point I noted that he was kind of being an ass in his attitude. Granted this was not how I'd hoped to respond and after he asked me not to call him an ass, I apologized but there was more silence and then apparently Brian had better things to do than to continue talking to me as he hung up. I then called Enterprise's Customer Service and registered a complaint. Following I decided to reach out to see if there was a branch manager and turns out Deana Butts was that person. I explained to her that I had been wronged and explained pretty much the entirety of the above, and she was very professional about it and genuinely concerned. She also expressed that she wished I'd reached out to her before leaving the review or taking other action, but frankly we never reached that opportunity for the obvious and so moved on. During our conversation I asked her, "So if I'd taken this vehicle to another Savannah location that kept later hours, I'd not been charged an extra 2 days?" Her answer? "That's correct." And therein lies the problem and in my opinion, the fraud. I also expressed to her that I'd bet money that I was not the only person who'd encountered this issue and that she probably heard of it routinely. She was reticent to commit to an answer, but that also said everything. Even so, she was sympathetic and felt that if indeed a staff member had not fully explained to me the weekend situation, that was an error but nothing done intentionally. Which hopefully some professional side of those reading this can see that even the staff are put at the mercy of the convoluted hours meets over charging customers dynamic of the location and in a word, they too are helpless. Insult to perhaps injury was that as a hospitality person, I cleaned the car twice at my cost of about $50 total as I was taught to return something borrowed in the same shape I received it. I didn't have to do it obviously, but up until then, I felt inspired by the Enterprise Family. Now not so much. read more

I have always rented a car from this place when I go out of town and usually get good service until today. I gave credit card to lady at counter and card was swiped multiple times and was told that it was not going through so I gave her another credit card and that too was not going through after being swiped multiple times. I know for sure that both credit cards have available credit so it was probably a computer glitch. She then asked me if I have a debit card which I hesitantly gave her since I know better not to use a debit card on rental cars. My debit card was swiped twice and I had to type in my pin # twice and still was not going through. A few seconds later, she said one of the cards went through which we didn't know then what card went through. I got home to check my accounts and was surprised to see that I was charged 5 times, 1 charge on my credit card and 4 charges on my debit card. Long story short I was charged over $1000 on my debit card and somehow Enterprise can't do anything about it and told me to call my bank which I called and they confirmed that I was charged that many times. I called corporate and they said someone from regional will call me back. Enterprise now lost one of your frequent Enterprise Plus member. As soon as I return my current rental, this place will never see me, any of my family members (who are also frequent customers), and possibly some of my friends too! read more

Horrible experience. Woke up to a flat (low tire pressure) on 12-24 just as I was about to head out for some last minute Christmas shopping. I spent the entire morning and afternoon dealing with it. I lost the day and reached out to Enterprise for a price adjustment. What I got was a complete run around and brush off. No one at the airport location answered the phone and never returned my calls, as I left several messages. Custom Care was of no help and the Escalations department was insulting and rude, telling me that my claim of a faulty tire could be false. What a crock of BS. I will never rent from Enterprise again. As it turns out, Enterprise national can do nothing to help if you rent from a franchise. I think Enterprise should enforce a more stringent customer care standard upon its franchise owners. What a bloody mess. I got nowhere and no assistance in this matter. Totally Bummed Out... Don't rely on this office!!! Despite online reservation and telephone confirmation, pickup never arrived. After waiting 2 hours for the pick up, I made another phone call, and was told my reservation had been sent to another local office (Montgomery St) and that they would "reach out to me shortly". I did not hear anything more from either Enterprise office for the rest of the day, so no rental car and a long wasted day in Savannah hotel instead of meeting up with friends at Hilton Head. The best customer service was provided to me when I rented a van for our family vacation. Although the mini-vans were not there upon my arrival, I was given a nice 15 passenger van for the same price. Unfortunately the water was not working at the time, so the van could not be washed on the outside but Ashley and her team were sure to take care of me. I thought I would be in and out since I had a reservation, but it took quite a bit of time to get everything corrected. This could have been a bad situation but with everyone being so nice, it all worked out. I'm just glad I wasn't in a rush. And when I returned a week later, I was given a ride to my destination and I really appreciate that about Enterprise. I am an enterprise plus memeber and I frequently rent cars from enterprise. This location in thunderbolt has excellent potential. They have a good selection of cars, the staff is pleasant and professional, and they are centrally located. My one complaint would be that the cars are not detailed/cleaned thoroughly. Because of their high volume of customers at this location the quality of care when it comes to detailing the cars are lacking. This is something they need to approve upon quickly. read more

So often people write about all their bad experiences, but I couldn't have been happier or more appreciative of this office. Called at 1:15 and Christine picked me up within 20 minutes. She was awesome. Had to get a car because of an accident my wife was in the day before, and they actually made me forget all that madness for a minutes. Just moved to Savannah and needed to replace our SUV to help finish our move. Reed overheard my situation and helped find something that would work better for us. He was a rock star and deserves more credit than this review can offer. Hats off to a friendly, busy office, who were all making friends one customer at a time. I have been a customer of Enterprise for years and have rented in many states for work and personal use but this experience was Awful! I booked online with no issues but when I reached the office on Saturday morning right at 9:00 AM for pick up it was mass chaos. Every reservation had an issue then when it was finally our turn we were told we would be charged $150 deposit! First time this has EVER happened. Then when I gave the guy a debit card I needed to produce 2 utility bills...the guy in front of me was told one but we had to have 2. I actually had bills in my handbag so once produced then we were handed a slip of paper to write down 3 references with phone numbers, then my work details including supervisor's name. Next, they called for proof of insurance, next (and I truly cannot believe we stood there to endure all of this treatment) when he verified that we were covered he proceeded to tell me that if something happens, whether it is your fault of not, you will be writing us a $1000 check! My husband and I are both professionals and this was a terrible way to treat local, loyal customers. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the fact that the return (although with the same person) was polar opposite, all want smooth...Go Figure! Needless to say, I will be going else-where next time to rent! read more

I had arranged to be picked up from my house and taken to Enterprise so I could pick up my rental prior to going to work. I was called the night before and was told they were out of cars so they could pick me up first thing in the morning. In the morning right before my designated time of pick I was called and told that they would have to push it back an hour because there still were no cars available. An hour later I had not recieved a call and no one had showed up at my house so I called Enterprise and they said they would send someone. It seemed like they had forgotten about me. I was picked up in a black altima that was not very clean but I wasn't concerned because I figured it wouldn't be my actual rental car. After arriving at the store and doing the necessary paperwork, I was brought outside to the black altima to check it out and sign off on it. There was no actual damage to the car it just was not clean on the inside. Again this was the only car available and I was already late to work so I did not have time to wait any longer. I'm not really sure how/why ALL of the Enterprises in Savannah were out of cars (which is what I was told). Very bad experience after already having a bad experience with the accident I experienced. The employees I encountered were all friendly but the quality and care for the actual car was not a priority. read more
