These guys are awesome! I was on a tight schedule, set up time to meet at body shop, I tried calling for over an hour, but no one would answer. They showed up 45 minutes later. Told shop to tell them to go home. I drove over to Peru to pick up car was tired of waiting and witnessed a customer in the lobby that was also pissed. He's been waiting so long. they didn't have the car he reserved he was pissed. They lie to the customers then apologize. They don't hold your reservation. Their disorganized and understaffed. They don't answer the phone. Manager isn't doing his job. they need new management and employees. Need a car in this area call Morris enterprise they actually answer the phone when you call. I went in there today to rent a car as my car needed more work than expected at the shop. I was given a ride here by someone at the shop where I was getting mine fixed...only to hear her at Enterprise say, 'We don't have any available right now.' What??!! One would think a car rental place could rent you a car. This is beyond stupid. What have they got...one or 2 cars for the whole area?? PSA: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME RENTING HERE!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The gentleman (Kenny, but claims it was not him) working there called me the day before to confirm my reservation of a van, then the next morning the vans are "recalled" all of a sudden at 8AM and cannot rent them out, but assured he had a vehicle that would hold 6 people and hung-up on me. I drive 45 min to pick a vehicle up from here and go through the whole check in process just for the boy (KENNY) up front to show me a lot with no 6 seater vehicles or barely any vehicles on the lot. Why would I spend $13000 to rent a 2010 car? Why did this kid waste my time & gas? No vans even on the "lot" (the 5 cars available), why he didn't just say we don't have any vans or SUV to accommodate the space I needed blows my mind. Made me late for work as I had to drive an hour and a half back the opposite direction just to rent from Bloomington. Why is this location even open?? It's a JOKE here, don't waste your time renting from this place, just book a rental in Bloomington-Normal but be sure not to book with Enterprise. read more

Again Enterprise hasn't failed to stand up to the minimum standards of at least giving me the courtesy of letting you know that your reservation means nothing when they don't have cars available. Six weeks into a reservation only to find out the date of the vacation has been scheduled there is no cars available. Only to have to reschedule a prepaid hotel and other activities which had been planned for 6 weeks ahead. Absolutely worst experience and yet time after time they keep the same routine up. Now when I last minute want to rent a car for a fun weekend I'm always told NO the cars I see on their lot are reserved. Be careful when you rent a vehicle from Enterprise in Peru! They bring you vehicles with lots of wear and tear on them and then blame you for damages. Got contacted by my insurance company that they filed a claim on me for a broken windshield. When they gave me the vehicle the inspection was in a poorly lite lot at night. I have rented several vehicles through other companies and most vehicles are like new in condition, not the vehicle I received from Enterprise. Never again will I make the mistake of using Enterprise! read more

Made a reservation 2 months ago and called after I made the reservation to make sure I would have no issues using a debit card. Called today, one week before our trip, because something in my head said I need to make sure that there wont be any hiccups. I'm so glad I called, because I'm not local, I HAVE to use a major credit card, that's not what I was told when I confirmed the reservation, seems that they assumed I was local without even asking me. Do your homework and read the fine print, when in doubt, call and make sure. Had I not called and confirmed we would have been standing at the rental counter with nothing and stranded with no car and luggage in tow. There are other places in the area to rent from if your from out-of-town, use someone else. This place sucks.So because I paid off my credit cards and cut them up, that makes me a bigger risk? Last week I needed a rental while my vehicle was in the shop. My insurance company called Enterprise in the morning to set it up. They told us that they couldn't have one ready until 5:30 that day. They had no cars until then. Midway through the afternoon they called me to say that they wouldn't have a car until 1:30 the next day. So I asked if they could "pick me up." No, they wouldn't have staff available at that time. I agreed to have them pick me up the next day (day three of the adventure.) I was told that I would be getting a small SUV - Ford Escape or Jeep Liberty. The guy shows up in a huge pick-up truck that had no running boards. I could barely get in the thing (I am 5'3" and have back trouble). When we arrive at the office they ask if I could use that truck as my rental!!! I said no. So I was offered a compact car or sedan. I took the sedan because I was basically stranded, but it wasn't much help as my husband is very tall and could not drive that. I made other arrangements and returned the vehicles in less than 24 hours. Needless to say we were less than impressed with the customer service. Definitely will not rent from here again. read more

This place is a joke. I needed a rental day of for a family emergency since my vehicle was at a garage getting repaired. I called and the lady that answered the phone told me that she had vehicles available. Since I live out of town my neighbor gave me a ride in. As soon as I walked in she claims she was just about to call me to tell me they have NO vehicles available, not even one of a different class. To top of off, she said I was on a waiting list of about 10 other people waiting to get cars. Why on earth did you tell me you had a car!?!? You wasted the time out of my and my neighbors day. If you plan on renting any vehicle in the Illinois valley you better reserve one and constantly call to make sure they have one or have the ability to tell the future to avoid damage or break downs to your personal vehicle. We live in Dixon, had a family emergency & needed to rent a van very last minute. The Dixon location didn't have one available but the Peru location did, which was in the direction of where we were going so that was fine. They held the vehicle for us & were very accommodating at both branches. read more

As my preferred rent-a-car carrier, I am want to call upon them to provide their services when my needs arise. As stuff happens, and it alway's does, they are able to provide transportation to their office should the situation occur. And if perchance, a particular category of car that has been reserved is not available, they will upgrade you at no additional cost. All of the reps are more than willing and qualified to assist when the time arises.....they are, as a popular insurance co. motto already states: Like a good neighbor.............Thanks Enterprise...You guy's rock!
