We reserved a car on line and received a confirmation. When we arrived at the counter after our flight we were told that they didn't not have a car for us. Very frustrating! On line it should have stated that no cars were available. read more

Called local location, call was sent to call center. Asked call center if the location had any vehicles available and they assured me there were indeed vehicles I could rent. Provided them with the information they needed and they assured me again that I would have a vehicle. An hour later received a call from the local location and was informed that there were no vehicles available there or in the other close by location. With today's modern technology the call center should have been aware of the unavailability of vehicles!! read more

I arranged for a rental car through enterprise October 13, flying in from Chicago to Sawyer airport. The car that was left was not an economy car, but rather one that used a lot of gas---I'm sure some might view this as an upgrade. When I called the Enterprise Rental on Saturday, October 14th in Marquette, Mi, I was helped by the manager of that office. He was very helpful, and had a compact car ready for me within the hour. I appreciate the professional way the car rental was done and the friendly, helpful manager. I will certainly be back! read more

I reserved a car from this Enterprise location through Hotwire. I received a confirmation from Hotwire via email. I went to the location at 8:50am for my 9:00am reservation on the day of and spoke with an associate named Andrea at the desk. I provided her my debit card, at which time she told me that either a utility bill or paycheck stub would be required to use the debit card. I informed her that my utilities are in my landlord's name and that I would have to drive all the way across town to my place of employment in order to obtain a check stub and that had I known of the requirement, I could have had that all ready instead of now already being late. She said to me, "Yeah, I'm guessing we probably tried to call or email you about it." I said that I had gotten no email OR phone call and that all of that information was correct as listed when I booked on Hotwire, so it surely wasn't a matter of lost communication. She also stated that since the address change sticker on my driver license was worn, I would have to "just hop over" to Secretary of State office across the highway from the Enterprise location and have my driver's license updated in order to complete the transaction. So, in order to rent a car I had reserved two weeks previous, I would have had to cross town to get my check stub and then wait in line for an address change, setting me back AT LEAST two hours from my scheduled departure time, not to mention the unbelievable inconvenience of what she was requiring, all of which could have been avoided if I had received the communication she was guessing that I had already gotten. I ended up taking my own vehicle because she delayed me so much that I could not possibly have made other arrangements. Further, there was no car anywhere on the lot that matched the reservation I had made and I questioned if I could have had a car to begin with that day. I won't make the mistake of choosing Enterprise again. Not directly nor with a third-party booking site. I have notified Hotwire and the Enterprise corporate office of my experience and I would be loathe to recommend this local branch to anyone for any reason. Further, I wish I could Yelp Andrea because she was rude, dismissive, and had an absolutely terrible attitude. read more

I had an excellent experience with Enterprise Car Rental in Marquette,MI. I was in Marquette under very stressful circumstances with a loved one in septic shock in I C U at Marquette General Hospital. The Enterprise staff did everything they could to make the rental easy and had me in a car and on the road in a very short time. Watch out for this place. I picked up a car when it was raining. The car was covered in mud on the sides. I was told that the car just had an oil change. Autumn was walking me around the car as I was wiping off mud to see if there was any damage. Autumn said she checked in the car the night before and it was fine. Based on that I initialed the box saying no damage. Bad move! When the rain stopped and the car dried, I saw some light scratches on the hood. When I returned the car, they said they were keeping my deposit and turning me into the loss recovery unit. I argued with the manager who wouldn't listen to anything. Claimed he washed the car himself and there was no damage. I told him I think something happened when the car was in for the oil change because the exterior wasn't remotely clean when I got it. His only response was that I initialed the box. It's that simple he said. Looks like I'll get screwed by Enterprise because of that. Beware! read more
