I hired him to trim down some bushes, hack down 2 more to the ground, take out one large dead tree, and trim another large tree and clean out the vines that were growing into everything. Yes, it was a huge mess, thats why I hired it out! He sent 2 laborers to my house and then left for the entire day . While the men were very nice and easy to work with, they were not supplied with good working equipment. First thing in the morning, the owner Mike came with a chain saw that needed adusting and he did not have the proper tools to fix it so he borrowed a screw driver and rachet set from my husband to do it. (Not a good sign). After he left, the 2 workers started taking down the dead tree. Their pole saw kept breaking down, jamming, and then the chain would fall completely off. This happened over and over. Since they owner left them unsupervised and did not explain well enough for them to understand, I was forced to supervise and tell them what i wanted cut and trimmed! All day long this went on, from 8:30 am til 6:30 pm. My husband and i were both out there helping to pull down vines and piling up debris. He did not finish the job properly he left all the dead vines just hanging in the air. Also he didn't even finish trimming the bushes! I told him I wasn't happy with the job and his response was "for the price i charged you, this is as good as it's going to get." So in other words you get what you pay for! So unprofessional, and such terrible business practices! I was planning on having him Mulch my entire property, nope! He lost that job. I reluctantly paid him the agreed upon price. We made sure we tipped the 2 workers, bc they busted their butts trying to get it done. I felt so bad for that kid, he had to work twice as hard then he needed to, because of the faulty equipment he was given to do the job. This is no way to run a business. As a business owner myself, I know that customer satisfaction and a job well done is extremely important for your companys reputation and future referral business.

The challenge: Close adjacent buildings, high-voltage TECO power lines, a busy and fast-moving roadway and pedestrians continuously passing on the sidewalk. We got 4 estimates and Matt's was right in the middle. I called the City of Tampa Natural Resources Group and asked about him. He is highly respected as a professional and as man with integrity. That's all I needed to hear. We hired Matt and team. Watching these guys climb trees and cut them down piece by piece is not only amazing - it's nail biting! These guys have stones!! They work in complete harmony and each guy has his responsibility. After the pine trees were down, Matt proceeded to use his BobCat to clean up our parking lot and head off to the dump. When they left, the trees were gone and our parking lot was spotless! These guys are true pros AND they're polite and respectful. They show up on time and get the job done. Brian came out right on time to give us the estimate. It was VERY reasonable, so we went with him again. The guys were on time and got everything done in one day, except for 1 of the little trees which was in the estimate. In addition, I met them at home during their work, and asked for 3 little favors, willing to pay for the extra, and Brian took care of it with no extra charge.
