Very unprofessional. Did not knock on the door, didn't introduce themselves, just think they own the yard because you rent. For starters, instead of cutting the limb back to the tree, the cut it off at around 10 feet, for a dead limb. Two, they did not clean up the roof at all. Left crap everywhere and claimed "The contract doesn't allow us to clean up after ourselves." The top of the crop was them dropping the debris they did clean up right on the power box...... and half way into our neighbors driveway. Matt is very rude and I would not recommend using this company ever. read more

Came took out 3 large trees very quick and cleaned up anything they cut . Was very impressed

I had a terrible experience with this tree cutting company. The job was poorly done, and the workers were unprofessional. They left debris everywhere, and communication was lacking. I would not recommend them. read more

they reschedule 20 times, show up for 30 minutes clear a bunch of limbs and them leave them right where you park and don;t put any of your stuff back that they moved. When trying to call back to see when they will remove the brush the phone goes straight to voicemail and no response. Terrible work, communication, and ethics. Scam of a company. All these 5 star reviews have to be from staff, they are a joke. read more

I wish that 0 was an option. You try to call and it goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full. They don't return SMS messages. My landlord had a scheduled visit and they don't bother to show up. Never use this company. read more

A. Bakers did a great job taking down a large laurel oak over my house. They took the tree down quickly with no problems. On top of their great attitude and work, they were also the lowest priced out of five estimates. I called them based on a recommendation from a coworker and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. read more

Cut my dying oak down very efficiently, grinded the stump down, and cleaned up like I've never seen a tree service company do before. Barely a twig to be found in my grass! Great prices, can't go wrong with this 5 star locally-owned and operated business. Very professional and hard-workers. read more

A Baker's Tree Service - Remote controlled stump grinding machine! - Tree Services Near Me

We give Matt and his team OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. We had 2 very large pine trees that needed to be removed from our office parking lot. The challenge: Close adjacent buildings, high-voltage TECO power lines, a busy and fast-moving roadway and pedestrians continuously passing on the sidewalk. We got 4 estimates and Matt's was right in the middle. I called the City of Tampa Natural Resources Group and asked about him. He is highly respected as a professional and as man with integrity. That's all I needed to hear. We hired Matt and team. Watching these guys climb trees and cut them down piece by piece is not only amazing - it's nail biting! These guys have stones!! They work in complete harmony and each guy has his responsibility. After the pine trees were down, Matt proceeded to use his BobCat to clean up our parking lot and head off to the dump. When they left, the trees were gone and our parking lot was spotless! These guys are true pros AND they're polite and respectful. They show up on time and get the job done. AWESOME JOB Matt and team!! Thank you very much!! read more

Well, considering all of the good reviews, it make just be a fluke, but my experience with this company was less than impressive. I first contacted them through Yelp for an estimate, but I did not get a response. So about 5 days after my initial contact, I called. The gentleman who answered the phone stated he had received my email, but had not had a chance to get back with me. So I explained my needs, and was told they would come out that afternoon and contact me back with a quote. I provided my address, and waited. And never heard back from any one again. If they were too busy, I'd rather be told that than just not hearing back at all. Luckily, I have since found a company who is responsive and has taken care of our needs. read more

Contacted this company based on neighbors recommendation. I needed 2 trees cut down that were attacking my house. Matthew gave me a good deal and trimmed up the mighty oak as well as my palms. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up everything. Highly recommend for all your tree service needs! read more

The service Matt and his team provided is nothing short of excellent, this company is professional in every aspect of the word. Will continue to use and recommend to any and everyone. They provide fair pricing and earn every cent they ask for, me and my family couldn't be happier. read more

Matthew Baker was very easy to work with. He was extremely responsive to my messages send via FB as well as texting. It was simple to request and receive a free quote for the work as well as schedule it to be completed. His pricing was very fair and never once did I feel he was trying to unjustifiably upsell me from the original job I contacted him about. He even suggested some treatment to try with our palms that we didn't end up having him trim. Overall a really great experience and I highly recommend he and his company for all your tree trimming or removal needs! read more

This company deserves five stars. The team arrived right on time and got right to work. They were friendly, professional, and worked well together. They got the job done in no time, and the clean up was excellent. I had gotten two other estimates to remove a very tall pine tree. I called A Bakers one day, and Matt looked at the tree and gave me an estimate the next day. His price was the fairest. Beware of companies that estimate by email without actually seeing the job. They underestimate and then after seeing the job, you get an estimate three times the email estimate. read more

Matt was just awesome, helped me out in a jam during a bad wind storm. He was working on some downed trees in the neighbors yard when I asked for help. He stayed well past sunset to make sure the downed branches were all removed. He came back later and bet two other quotes to remove some dangerous oak branches hanging over the, house, pool, and power lines. He coordinated with the city to obtain a difficult permit from the city to work on the oaks. If you don't know it yet, trimming any oak in Tampa gets overly criticized by the city. The work was done timely and complete and including stump grinding that no one else offered. I give my highest recommendation to Matt and his company! read more

A Bakers was recommended by my hairdresser and all I can say is 'WOW'. I have a beautiful lake in my backyard and I obviously had no clue how beautiful it really was till Matt came out to clean up all the trees. Very professional, came out a couple days prior, provided me with a quote and an explanation of what was needed. They showed up as scheduled and did a great job opening up the view. He and his staff were very professional. Did a great job cleaning up afterwards too. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing some tree service and very reasonable prices on top of it. Thank you ,thank you Matt. read more

Outstanding service! Highly recommend! Matt, the owner was very helpful and responsive, quickly removing a tall palm tree that was beginning to fall, grinding down both the stump from the tree he removed as well as another tree that had fallen. Thanks for the great work! read more

Matthew and his crew are very diligent and detail-oriented. They're also very passionate about what they do and take extra time to go above and beyond. The quality of the work is top notch. Certified to work with power lines, and boy do they do a good job with them. I had a large oak that was entangled in utility/power lines and they made it look beautiful. The cable company was finally able to get in and replace a line that was inaccessible that they've been waiting to get to. read more

A Bakers Tree Service was recommended in a Facebook group I'm in,and I decided to contact them. Although communication was rocky at first, Matthew was very polite and knew what he needed to do to get the job done. He was very knowledgeable and fair on the price. We had a nasty Brazilian Pepper Tree that hadn't been touched in years and Matthew came in with a Bobcat to take care of the job. His crew worked really hard and they got everything done in one day.
