The removal was six trees of medium size and the trimming was for medium and large white and red oaks; some up to about 30 feet. We walked the property twice and came to agreement on the work and a price. At the end of the day there was tractor rut damage in my rear yard that was not repaired and at least 4 stumps were 4 to 6 inches high. Asked the owner to come by before I posted this review almost 2 weeks ago. He never acknowledged my contact. At best a mediocre job I could have gotten much cheaper elsewhere.

M&M brought the most modern, heavy duty equipment for the project, and now I understand why my next door neighbor has used them for extensive work on their property for several years. I get what the other reviewer said about changed time, etc. I've dealt with a few tree removals…read moreover the years and that seems to be par for the course with most companies. It's outdoor work that is highly influenced by weather; they don't need access to the home so really most work can be done when it fits their schedule. When we called GWF, I was getting a little concerned myself because the estimate was rescheduled a few times but I'm glad I stuck it out and based on the work I would not hesitate to call them again. The quote was reasonable - a little more than our lowest quote but a few hundred beneath the highest. We signed their contract on the spot though because I felt Gordon honest and upfront over the phone with me and in-person with my husband. They were also able to accommodate our needs and actually took the tree down sooner than we expected. Another company told me it would take at least 4 hours of work and his crew had it down and cleaned up in two. Aside from a missing tree and some scattered wood chips, you really would never know they had been in the yard. I'll actually probably be calling them this fall for some tree trimming.

Better late then never…read more I needed about 10 trees removed/stumps ground, including one big one that is close to the house and the deck is built around it. Great idea, until the tree grows and the deck doesn't :( In addition, I needed 6 large trees trimmed. Due to the size/cost of the job combined with my lack of knowledge as to what is reasonable, I got estimates from probably 6 different companies. I had almost decided on another company when I mentioned to the fence guy (MC Fence ftw) that I was removing trees and he recommended Kenny. I took his advice and called for one more estimate, and I am super glad I did. Kenny himself came out the very next day, and walked the yard with me to see what needed to be done. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the various trees, he was extremely polite and courteous as only an old-school southern gent can be. He was also not too polite to make suggestions and point out, kindly and considerately, that I was making some very bad decisions that I should perhaps reconsider. In the end, he was right. The tree in the deck had to go unless I wanted the deck to go instead. The cherry tree right on the fence line really wasn't worth saving, especially when the entire fence would need to go around it. But had I stood firm on my decisions, he would have honored them with a smile. He and his crew could not have been any nicer. So nice that if someone were to change their mind about taking down one more tree at the last minute, after the crew was mostly packed up, I feel very strongly they would unpack and do so without hesitation or attitude. (Ask me how I know this...) Did I mention that every single guy on his crew was equally nice and courteous? Because they were. The other aspects that mattered in the decision to use this company were price and scheduling. Price wise, he wasn't the very lowest, but near the bottom of the list, and I did get more for the price than other companies. Scheduling was a breeze, even though he was working around both my work schedule and the fence company schedule and also this has to be done ASAP. And within a week or so, it was. Give Kenny a call. You will be glad you did.

Kenny Jenkin's had the lowest price (Steve and Edwards were very close) and the service was phenomenal. Michael (son-in-law of Kenny) and his team were fast, professional and very accommodating. I had a few small requests that they promptly took care of. They even cut up chunks of maple from the felled tree and put it in a box for me so I could use with my Big Green Egg. They cleaned up well too. Everything you want in a tree removal business. Heck, any business should be run like this. Kudos, guys.
