Ive always found the best drinking white wines of Italiy to be in the Friuli region. Sure it's just…read morepersonal taste but the bordering with Solvenia makes for some interesting wine and cuisine. Radikon is one of those rarer makes of "orange" wine where white wine is done with some skin fermentation to give it that orange color and some red nose/palate characteristics. I got to meet one of the makers a while back and taste a good number of his wines. Similar to those oxidized wines from Jura, it's certainly an acquired taste (even more so than wine is already). However if you're looking to educate yourself on how vast wine really is, Radikon will definitely take you into a far corner of a sub genre that makes wine education and enjoyment so vast.
