We opted for the 8 wine tasting experience, which featured a variety of whites, reds, and sheets. Everything we tried was fantastic and some of the best wines I've had! Everyone in my group like them all! They're award winning Sauvignon was definitely a crowd pleaser and tasted just right. Service was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We enjoyed our tour guide and hearing all his explanations, stories, and recommendations of local places to try. Definitely recommend.

Another reason is that they make both red and white wines, whereas some other wineries in the region focuses on mainly white or focuses on Prosecco. The winery isn't large compared to the wineries I'm used to in California, but it was beautiful to see the vines nonetheless. The inside of the winery and tasting room was reminiscent of a warehouse or hangar, so that was quite different and unexpected. It didn't exude winery feels but the outside is nice. It turned out that you need a reservation to wine taste here, though that was not mentioned on their website. When I expressed that we're visiting, the lady that helped us made an exception to let us taste about 4 wines, which was quite was nice of her. The wines were nice, so we left with a few bottles as the prices are quite low compared to wineries back in California. This was a nice start to wine tasting in this region.

It was they who originally seduced me, and lured me into purchase despite their slightly premium pricetags. I'll enjoy every drop. The vineyard offers a tour in conjunction with a tasting, if you'd like to see the vines and hear about their peculiar terrain (much you can view on the website, but still). It's a good idea to make an advance appointment, even if you're only interested in a tasting. Livia speaks excellent English.

The family farm produces many different wines, though my wife and I were most impressed with the prosecco. The woman serving us didn't speak much English. This made things a little difficult, as our Italian is not good. But she was extremely nice and did not seem at all bothered when I butchered some Italian phrases. I thought the prices of their wines were very reasonable. It was a wonderful little stop. We left with a Prosecco brut, a vino spumante Moscato and vino bianco Fruilano.

The man who talked to us said "we do tastings for people to buy only, and our wines are very high-end." He then listed all the prices of his wines starting at 14 euros, going up to about 60. Expensive maybe for Friuli, but comparable to American prices, and not out of our budget. He didn't even really give us a chance to taste, just took one look at our clothes and car and decided his wines were too expensive for us. So we wasted a lot of time and effort finding this place. Being turned away without a chance, after having come across an ocean to be here? Hmm, won't be back.
