I was brought here by a regular on a business trip. We walked in and were greeted with a smirk and…read morea question: "Reservation?" Nope. Her smirk stretched into a smile, "Of course not." What followed was a truly delicious evening of indulgence. I drank far too much wine and ate far too much food: two different types of fish, a mixed seafood salad, burrata and deep fried bread (yes, deep fried bread), and vegetables that tasted too delectable to be healthy. Somehow, I made it to the hotel gym that night and did not throw up on the treadmill. And this, my friends, is what life is all about.

As I have mentioned in some other reviews I am kind of a pizza connoisseur/snob. Being a die hard…read morefan of new York pizza often times sets unrealistic expectations for when I travel and eat pizza elsewhere....but I was in Italy so I knew I couldn't be disappointed. My cousin took me to this local pizza restaurant and ordered us 2 D.O.C. Pizzas with buffalo mozzarella. The pizza here came out paper thin and had the most amazing combination of fresh buffalo mozzarella and sweet/tangy sauce. I added some crushed red pepper and fully enjoyed this true Tuscan wonder.

Also stopped in both morning while in town for water and pastries. This place did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and allowed you time to talk and enjoy your meal. This has been especially good after long busy days in the city. We had pizza, fries (best fries so far), seafood appetizer (deliciousness) and a number of desserts among our group. I personally loved the torte de chocolatier but without the vanilla pudding underneath. Honestly food was so good we forgot to take pics except for the dessert. Definitely stop in for a laid back dinner after a long day!
