I agree with the other reviewers, that this company has gone down hill over the past decade or so due to poor journalism as well as the surprising censorship practices. To fair, several times over the years I have given them "another try", but things always seem to have gotten worse rather than better. Another reviewer here mentioned that multiple changes of ownership only worsened things. I am hopeful a new owner will one day purchase the SD UT and turn it around. San Diego is a great city, let's have a great newspaper!

So just like in dating, people say you shouldn't find a job on the internet, like they say you shouldn't find a partner in a bar. But I've found all mine the way I guess I was told not to. My very first job in San Diego was for a teeny tiny company just off Ruffin Road with a fun group of developers. We developed and released crime reporting software. That position was discovered on the little old Classified section of SignOn and the rest is history. I highly recommend the classifieds section in the UT/Signon website, they work.

It got so bad I had to cut my card and get a new one because they would not stop charging me. Even after many attempts to end service! After running adds for many months and hundreds of dollars I got one....one lead from Affluent living AKA San Diego living magazine now they are sending there "dogs" lawyers after me for a few hundred more dollars! This is 2 years later! I have not heard anything from them in 2 years and now they are trying to get more money out of me WTF!!! Save your time and money and run, run! anywhere els. I would suggest using Google ad words it is much much cheaper and much more effective and you can actually track your leads instead of just having some fat son of B lie to you about and point to his trophy cars and his trophy wife and say look how Successful I am you could be successful to. Vision not only jumps out at you at the most random locations, but features some of the best articles and advertisements ever, like ancient healing massages for dogs followed by dog bone aromatherapy treatments and How My Sea Monkeys Taught Me To Enjoy the Simple Life. That's not to say that this magazine is poorly written or non-amusing. Quite the opposite. One of the best time killers ever and a reminder that anything strange you've ever imagined about the world or yourself someone else has already come up with and is trying to sell you.

I have worked with many others and what typically happens somewhere along the line, wires get crossed and they take multiple re-dos.
