I knew I loved Hans Im Glück in Cologne but I wanted to see how it would compare to the one in Münster. The seating outside is nice and there are plenty of tables. It was very crowded there so we had to sit outside. Which was good and bad. It was cold but luckily they had blankets and candles which helped a little. It was good because it was soooo warm inside and the music was just way too loud. I ordered my go to which is Geissbock and a Pound of sweet potato fries. The burger is so good with the bacon, fig, onion, feta cheese. Just goes so well together. And the sweet potato fries were also very good. I ordered the first burger on the menu (the one with BBQ "strips" and onion rings) and it was pretty tasty. The reason for the three star review is the meal which my boyfriend had - the veggie Döner. He strongly disliked it and hardly ate any of it... and he normally will eat up just about anything! Maybe stay away from the Döner options with the fake meat, because it seems like the other options which they have are much tastier. The restaurant itself was bright and airy and packed on a pleasant Saturday afternoon. If you're into vegan food, could be worth a visit if you're in the area!

The manager was very friendly and helpful, but not all the waitresses were at that level. Generally a fairly young/student crowd. A bit outside the city center, but if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise nearby, definitely a good choice. The same owner runs the top-rated Mocca d'Or in the city center, as well as the Café Med in the harbor area.
