I can't say enough about Fred. Symbii Home Health in Idaho Falls. He go above and beyond every…read moresingle day, not just providing excellent care, but truly seeing patients as people, not just a number. Home health can be challenging at times, but Fred handles everything with patience, kindness, and genuine compassion. Knowing my mother in his care gives me incredible peace of mind, even when I'm far away. He is the kind of nurse everyone wishes they had, professional, caring, and genuinely dedicated. Symbii is lucky to have him!

Symbii Home Health and Hospice has two agencies. One for terminally ill (hospice) and home services…read more(Home Health). This comment pertains to the latter but should be considered to possibly reflect the Hospice service. HH is operated by staff that are essentially incompetent in many topics of health care and maintenance. They listen poorly and understand less. It is pitiful when you go the extra mile to explain and they misconstrue and become defensive. PCP providers essentially phone it in, visit reports filings for some take a month, and requests are garbled. I had 2 PCPs. Both were nurses. The first moved on, I complained to the point where I no longer would see him. Both appeared to be phoning it in on a regular basis without accomplishing tasks for the actual benefit of the patient. Both used cut and paste paste histories with out addressing current and neglected pressing issues. The positive factor was one Wound Care Nurse who treated me at another agency, but quit that for Symbii. He was competent and diligent but quit seeing me for inadequate reasons. He was good, but the house is on fire. You should get the point. Avoid Symbii, if using Symbii, check patient progress and possible negligence.

An up-front payment discount was offered but never honored, nor permitted by their conglomerate owners, Mountain Land PT. They submitted billing sliced up to charge maximum amounts in the minimum amount of time, often billing for more time than I was there. Up-front I asked what the costs would be, but they would only say that it depended on how it was handled by my insurance. If you care, ask what they *charge* for EVERYTHING - they charge separately for every possible element of their services, most all of which are optional (this was never disclosed to me until trying to mitigate their absorbent bill). Trying to work with their billing was more painful than my injury - stonewalled or passed around for every inquiry, with all their actions justified by them through their medical EULA required for service - their Consent to Medical Care. They suggested email inquires, but multiple inquires were emailed, but after weeks, no responses have been received beyond their calls to collect their fees. There are better PT options available.
