At 10:45 they called me and told me that they were on the way. We were at the Vet with our dog down the street, and Blake arrived and emptied the tank. We showed up shortly after and he was finished, all by 11:30. The cost was cheaper than we were quoted from other companies, also. Backroad Septic greatly impressed me today and I highly recommend them.

Turns out the old pipe was a 3" pipe, and should've been a 4", it also had a couple of 45° angles in it, and someone years back had tried to snake it with a 1/2" piece of pvc which had snapped off inside and was creating a terrible clog. We helped dig it out and chatted. He's very mellow and personable and humorous! He was pretty booked, too, but managed to squeeze us in after another job, which was great, especially considering it was right before a major week-long snow storm. We'll definitely be using him in the future for any plumbing situations that come up. He's reasonably priced and knows his stuff. Definitely recommended!

Another issue came up (minor, but necessary) so we looked around for a different plumber in our area. Found "Above the Rest" via Google and called, booked an appointment. They did a full inspection and diagnosed our issues, eased our worries on some other issues, and we called them back to install a sink which they did shortly after in less than an hour. They also took care of our other issues. Friendly, fast, efficient, and fairly priced. Would recommend to others.

My wife and I hired Kris with K&E Finley Excavating for a wide range of work on our property: site…read moreclearing and grading, grass waterway, sediment pond, retaining walls, driveway and septic. From start to finish, his work and communication have been exceptional. What really stands out to me is the way he combines engineering, science, land management, and what I can only call art. I never thought there was an "art" to excavation, but after watching Kris work, I see it. For example, he took the NRCS plans and design ideas I had, then improved them with more elegant and effective solutions to solve our drainage challenges. Even after we had a written work agreement, Kris made sure things were done right, going above and beyond instead of just "checking the box." That commitment shows in the quality and craftmanship of the final results. The driveway, pond and waterway not only function perfectly, they look like they've always belonged on the land. The septic and retaining wall were done with the same level of care and precision, I wish you could see it. Kris will tell you that you can find cheaper excavation companies. Maybe you can find someone willing to give a lower bid, but in my experience, you won't find the kind of value he delivers. His work is built to last, and the peace of mind of knowing it's been done right is worth far more than any savings I may have been able to find. If you want excavation done right, with thought, skill, and pride in the outcome, Kris and K&E Finely Excavating are who you want on your property.
