Nearly killed my son. He sent him home with some tummy medicine and told him he'd be fine. Instead, he ended up in the emergency room the next day, the most dehydrated, the physician there had ever seen as well as his blood sugar being extremely high and dangerous. He ended up spending three days in the hospital. But Dr. Engel said he'd be just fine. Didn't pay any attention to him at all even though he has his physician and should know his underlying issues and should have known all of these things in advance.! read more

Save yourself the time and go have yourself diagnosed online by a trained monkey. The "doctors", specifically Dr Engel and nurse practitioner Brian (and keep on practicing, you need the training) have no idea about caring for their patient's needs and certainly have no idea on how to retain a loyal patient. Originally got an appointment to get my trigger finger checked out by Brian, who basically said take Naxopren (Alleve) for it and kicked me out the door, followed up with a bill for $250, which my health insurance paid half of. I waited in the waiting room longer than the visit. Tried to schedule me with a specialist, but that is a whole other story. Follow up a month later with Dr Engel and was asked why I was taking Naxopren. How ironic, dumbass. Check your notes. Your trainee told me to do it. Have been in contact with the billing office manager, Penny Rhea-Bailey, who told me she would look into the charges. Never a return email or call to follow up on my concern. Sever emails mailed out to her. Now, after I have refused to pay the bill for the first flawed diagnosis and treatment until I get clarification, I get a personal letter from Dr Engle, saying they will no longer see me, due to a "conflict of interest". Yes, I am conflicted about not being interested in your practice. Honestly, I would rather go to witch doctor , equipped with a dart board for diagnosis. Probably have a better chance at recovery. Avoid this place like The Plague. And, if you contract The Plague, just roll over and die, rather than go to this place for treatment. read more

My wife and I lived in Cape Coral from 2008 to 2012 and Dr. Engel was our Primary Care Physician for those 4 years. We moved back to Tennessee and stayed from 2013 until 2022 when we moved back to Cape Coral. We immediately set up Dr,. Engel as our PCP again. It took us a couple of months to be able to get an appointment with him, but it was worth the wait. He is a fantastic Dr. and we appreciate the Physicians Primary Care staff so much.
