So I called Buckhorn. They gave us apx time and showed up in reasonable amount of time. Craig was professional and kind. Yes they charge a service fee that is to be expected for small business. Craig, the owner(!), pulled up to the house (late), opens the door, and says in a flat tone, "What have we got?". No introducing himself, no effort to be friendly. Then he kind of walks around the house and takes a perfunctory glance in the attic. By now I'm starting to think that he's just going through the motions. I'm following him around, smelling the cigarette smoke on his breath. He proposes a mini-split system, which is easier to install but not as attractive in appearance as a ducted system. After becoming certain that a ducted system is what I want, I let him know, and his reply is "do you want a written estimate for a ducted system?", and I'm like yes of course if you want the business. He never replies. My time spent on these guys was completely wasted.

As a company, we've been using Accutemp for all of our hot water heater and swamp cooler needs…read more They're incredibly responsive - we've called them at least twice for emergency work and they've been out within the next day, if not the next few minutes depending on how much of an "emergency" it really was. Most recently they came in to diagnose our water heater and after plenty of digging, found the source and were able to replace the parts while they were still here - one of the workers ran out to get the piece so we would be back in working order that day. They also fixed some cracked pipes we had on our rooftop that froze when someone (me, whoops) didn't realize that the swamp cooler needed to be drained before the first freeze of last year. All in all, they've been extremely reliable and responsive, and we won't hesitate to call them for all of our future needs!
