Luis is quite the knowledgeable electrician, but what I want to highlight in this review is his…read moreintegrity, which in my opinion is the most important aspect in working with someone. After some initial miscommunications about the job, things didn't quite turn out the way I hoped, but Luis, the company owner came out himself to make sure things were resolved. And even though the scope of the project increased, he insisted on completing the job at the original rate (although I'm not going to let him, because the scope had increased substantially, and that is clearly my own doing). When working with someone new, it's always a toss up on how things will go when unexpected difficulties arise, and I'm very pleased in how Luis does business. Six-stars! UPDATE: the job is done and we are awaiting inspection this week. The pictures speak for themselves. We are extremely satisfied with our Tesla Wall connector Gen 3 installation. Luis went up and over our garage with EMT to get to the nearby panel. He had to upgrade a breaker to a double pole 60A breaker and also had to update the breaker that goes to the subpanel in the main panel to 100A. Tesla had sent us a bad wall connector the first time around and advised us remotely that the electrical work done was perfect and that all power levels were as expected. Luis insisted on coming out himself anyhow to double check everything even though I assured him it was Teslas wall connector. Sure enough the wiring was perfect and when the new wall connector arrived I popped it on and everything worked like magic.

They came the next morning and were able to get everything fixed within about 2 hours. The two were very patient and informative, giving us really good quotes and explaining everything they would be charging us for. They also gave us alternatives that were more affordable to our budget. They had to work in a rather cramped space to reach our breaker and they were very positive about it. Overall, the entire experience was great! This business is one you can definitely trust to take care of your needs. Juan and Danny also made sure to tidy up anything they had to move (as it was in their ways o:) and were very polite and personable in their exchange. They were accommodating to our schedule too! We truly appreciated the help!! Thanks so much! c: Also a lovely note: they offered a year of warranty for just electric! They worked around some design issues with a built in cabinet partially blocking my electrical box. They let me know that I was missing a surge protector in my electrical box. They checked all outlets to ensure no lingering issue. They offered to look into repairing a tv that had shorted out due to a recent electrical storm. Trip charge was $200.

He explained that Logan was stuck on another job. Luis jumped in (had the estimate) and did the work in less than an hour. He showed me his work and everything was working. He explained the 2 year warranty on their work and to call him if there are any problems in the next couple weeks. They'll come back out to fix anything that might happen. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and very clean. I was given a fair price, and he was quick and efficient with his work. I have always been very happy with the quality of their work. If you are a Property or Facilities Manager, Wilcox is an excellent partner that will leave you looking good! My experience is that they do high quality work, offer appropriate pricing, easy scheduling and are staffed by professionals in both the field and in the office. This review is because I recently had them do work at my own home and I am beyond happy. I've used them for small personal projects in the past but this time I brought them in to do larger work including a 200 amp heavy up and adding a dedicated circuit for a new stove. They knocked it out of the park! When our home was inspected for purchase 12 years ago, the inspector mentioned that our panel could be a concern. It took me this long to address it. A few months ago Dale performed panel maintenance and helped me understand so much about the power in my home that I decided to have Wilcox come back to do a 200 amp heavy up. Jermaine and Daniel did that work and did a fantastic job. I am so happy with the outcome. Lastly, Nick W came out and installed a dedicated circuit to install a new stove and did a wonderful job. Since I'm a curious customer who asks a lot of questions, he showed me all the components inside the panel and explained what they did. Now, for the first time since we bought the place, I feel absolutely confident in the safety of the power in my home. Based on my recent experiences, I'm planning to have them come back later this year to add some outlets to the exterior of the home and also run power out to my shed. Everyone I have dealt with from scheduling with the office to communicating about estimates and the onsite visits have been top notch. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable and have helped me understand the process at every step. You can rest easy if you choose Wilcox Electric for your project. They're great!

The complex project was accomplished successfully, on the other hand. More recently, I called them up about troubleshooting a couple flaky GFCI breakers. The owner came out immediately (an hour later!) and I learned a lot from him about breakers. On the other hand, he came out without any spare breakers and had to make a run to Home Depot, so I ended up being charged 1.5 hours at $237 an hour (usually time past the first hour is something like $70 extra), so much more expensive than alternatives. So a solid outfit, but not my first choice.

I already had 2 switches on the wall already and unfortunately the wall cavity was very tight to add a 3rd horizontally. Luckily they had a solution to keep my current setup and still add the switch. I also needed a fan box replaced as the old ,probably original 1950s box was not attached properly anymore to the joists. Unfortunately they had to cut into the drywall due to the lack of space available but understandable. Price for the job was reasonable and completed within the day. Asked and received a invoice so that I can properly make the tax deduction later for improvements. Super responsive. Highly recommend.
