L'indulgence Hair & Beauty - Facial and massage room. Divine!

It's all in the name! Offering pure indulgence, these wonderful ladies treated me so beautifully…read morefrom the moment I entered the salon. In fact, their service and warm helpfulness began on the phone. Referred by a friend, I phoned looking for a short notice booking for myself and two girlfriends. We wanted to all have facials at the same time, prior to my friend's wedding the following day. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and after some creative juggling on their part, sorted us out a booking just when we wanted it and complete with a private room so we could bring our own champagne and nibbles. We each had a facial in succession, while the other two stayed in the 'champagne room'. So we were there over 3 hours and they made us feel so welcome and pampered. Each spa treatment begins with a foot spa, which feels amazing. New clients fill in a questionnaire based on Ayeurvedic principles and temperaments, to determine the type of aromatherapy oils and blends that are most suitable. A complimentary hot beverage is also part io the treatment as is a small gift pack of products and information on the first visit. Their marketing materials could be the subject of a 'this is how you should do it' masterclass. The treatment room is dimly lit with candles, smells divine, has unusual and pretty ornaments and features as well as relaxing music. I saw Kerri who just made me float away with serenity. She was sensitive and professional. All of us came out absolutely glowing and our skin felt sensational! I felt compelled to return the following week for a full body aromatherapy massage and saw Rose, who was also sensitive and professional. The care and attention as well as the take-away feeling of utter relaxation and rejuvenation is just amazing. I can't recommend them too highly. The salon offers a range of services including beauty treatments, the patented Anastasia brow treatments, hair and nails. Can't wait to book in again. I could get used to a life filled with L'indulgence!

Being greeted with a welcoming smile and attentive staff is always a great start in my book…read more Relax Hair, Skin and Body is light, airy, modern and welcoming. The salon has some beautiful architectural features such as high ceilings, a rustic exposed brick wall and polished floorboards. Offering a range of beauty treatments as well as hair styling, this salon and its lovely staff can pamper you from head to toe. I appreciate good communication as part of a salon visit and Hayley and team begin with a consultation and then continue with updates throughout the visit to manage expectations. Although not a coffee drinker myself, I have it on good authority that they serve a mean cuppa here and that the Cibo beans are delicious! On my first visit, Hayley did a fabulous job of matching my highlights and mixing the perfect shades, even though she hadn't met me before. The colour lasted beautifully and I'm now enjoying my second visit as I type and am each moment getting closer to the transition to princess! All the little things are covered off well too; such as, cleanliness, refreshments, timeliness, latest magazines, easy access toilet, non-cramped stations and even a vibrating basin chair. They have a great (and active) Facebook page with tips and styles and my final tip is to check in on Yelp for an added bonus!

I have been to the salon before for a great cut and dry and will be back again! Love a bit a pampering and today was made to feel human again!

They take the time to ask questions, preferred cuts or styles and they serve up an excellent plate of customer service here. A basic shampoo, cut and blowdry is priced at $65 and if you're after some root touch ups, you're looking at anything above $55. When you step in The Basin, you can immediately sense the energy here. Customers look happy and contented. The stylists are always full of smiles and cheers. The Basin crew is known for their education programs. They recently held a cut and colour workshop in Port Augusta and have been known to provide styling services for photo shoots. Easily accessible as they are positioned on Goodwood Road and barely a minute walk from the Goodwood tram station.

They talk to you about your hair, and take the time to get to know you and your hair. It's obvious from their responses that they're very knowledgeable. All the staff seem friendly in fact. Generally I do prefer people a little more down to earth and relaxed, but they're definitely friendly none the less. And they also write down what they've done with your hair each time, so you've got a good starting point when you come in next time, or when you need to see a different stylist if yours happens to be on leave. There are also nice touches, like when you have your hair washed, you sit in a massage chair, and in addition to the normal scalp massage, they also give you a neck massage, which is lovely. You're offered water, coffee, tea & juice, intermittently throughout. And if it's your first visit, you usually get a free gift of hair products. They're not cheap, but like many things in life, you get what you pay for. Overall a good experience.

Like Liz I've used the mystic tan booth at Bronze Bodies on the Parade because I like the privacy -…read morethere's just something a little intimidating about wearing a paper g-string in front of a total stranger. The advantage of the private booth is that you miss out on the lines left by that crazy paper g-string because you can get all of your gear off. One big tip for you though is to remember that you don't have a person there telling you to hold your breath. This is a mechanised booth so don't forget to hold your breath while you're being sprayed otherwise you could end up breathing in some horrible tanning lotion. And I'm sure you can deduct from that tip that I have done exactly that! Bronze Bodies also have tanning beds but I can't stress enough how dangerous these things are. I'm really amazed at the people who use them but even more amazed that they're allowed to operate. If you want a nice summer glow, please just go for the fake stuff - even if it means you have to wear a paper g-string in front of a stranger for 10 minutes!

Bronze Bodies was my go-to tanning salon between the ages of 17-21 for a night on the town, or if…read morethere was a any special occasion I would feel the need to bathe myself in all goldenness. I'm paranoid about skin cancer and all that, so fake tanning is really my only option unless I tan somewhere overseas where an o-zone layer is still existent... Having said that though, I also don't constantly look like I drowned myself in a bag of Doritos - this is reserved for special occasions only - I still prefer a natural look overall. So when I want that extra radiance, I head to Bronze Bodies because their service is overall better than other tanning salons I've been to, they're close by, and they have the Mystic Tan Booth which is private. My personal favourite is the Amber Sun tan which takes around 6-8 hours to process and has a much more natural look. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, and their tans aren't OTT either, which is always good to see before you use their products.

Having always been a bit of a Jurlique fan when it comes to facials and general pampering I have…read morerecently been converted to Endota. Whenever friends and relatives want to buy me a gift they often buy me a facial. My sister was the first one to buy me a gift voucher for Endota and I have been hooked ever since. Glenelg is one of the newer Endota Spas to open up in Adelaide and has been done well. Subdued lighting lots of candles and lovely warm staff allow you to feel relaxed the moment you step inside. The products they use are certified organic and smell divine. There are many different treatments and packages to choose from ranging from $30 upwards. The building is a lovely old two storey house and the treatment rooms are located upstairs away from any noise. The therapists I had for my massage was warm and friendly without being too chatty so I could really relax. It was a blissful experience that I would thoroughly recommend

This Glenelg one is fairly new and is in a good location just off Jetty Rd, keeping the noise down. Its in a little old characterized house with a couple of single rooms and a few couple rooms, with no group room. The rooms have a nice ambience with candles, soft soothing music and the aroma of certified organic beauty products. All the rooms are quite small and cosy, as it was a house, which makes me like the Rundle and Barossa ones a little more as they are slightly more spacious and can accommodate more than 2 people at a time in one room. But my experiences here have been lovely, the therapists are always smiley and friendly, chatting when necessary but also letting me relax. It's great to go grab an ice cream afterwards or sit by the beach and reminisce always saying ahhh...
