I have been feeling sick for the past 4 days and it has been getting worse rather than better. I am a pharmacist at a hospital and see patients regularly so I thought it would be worth $25 to get a flu swab to make sure I wasn't putting any of my patients or co-workers in harms way by continuing to go to work sick. The medical assistant was extremely rude to me. When I first walked into the examination room she said what's going on? I told her I had been having some bad cold symptoms that really weren't getting better. She then proceeded to interrupt my explanation and stated, "So what are looking for here? Over the counter meds or antibiotics?" I answered, "No, I honestly just wanted a flu swab." She said, "Well let me check your temperature because if you don't have a fever it's not the flu." She told me my temperature was normal and that she was sure it wasn't the flu. I then told her, "Well if you're not going to do anything for me I can just go." She said no and that the doctor would still see me. The doctor saw me and I explained my situation and symptoms and he gladly ordered a flu swab. The medical assistant then came back in with the flu swab and stated, "Oh so you just KNOW you have the flu, huh?" I told her, "No, I don't know, but I thought it would be worth it to check." I have never been so disrespected by another healthcare professional and I can't believe the way she talks down to patients who already don't feel well. In the future, I would rather pay $50 and go to an out of network urgent care than come back here and possibly see this same medical assistant.

Finally I got an appt with Dr. Dekyi at this loc. I came from the city in heavy rain. GPS sent me the wrong direction on Lindbergh. I contacted the office, explained my dilemma, and they provided me with directions, and told me to come on in. My apt was at 3:15pm. Apparently, I had a ten minute grace period. I arrived at 3:26PM. I was told I could not be seen, and would have to reschedule. I was told that I had been speaking with their answering service and they shouldn't have told me to come. I was literally in tears. I had waited months for my appt, still couldn't get my rx refilled, traveled in the rain for miles, gotten turned around - I didn't expect BJC to be in a strip-mall next to Family Dollar and IMOS, and finally refused service. I couldn't image a Doc treating his patients or potential patients this way. I will never ever recommend this place or return.

She first checked my weight and then my community support worker and I headed to the room. I have PTSD from very bad traumatic things, I've been through. She attends my appointments with me as support for me. When we got to the room. The nurse asked my community support worker to sit on the right side and for me to sit on the left side. She then took my blood pressure and went over my medication list. After she was done. She left the room about 5 minutes later. Dr.Hassan, walked into the room. He said, Hi to me. At first, Everything was normal. He then started asking me questions. He started going over my history of, when the last time I had an endoscopy done,etc...He then asked me a question. I've never heard a GI doctor ask me. He asked me was I updated with my mammogram. I said Yes! He then looked over at my community support worker and asked her was she my case worker. She told him Yes The whole time. She was looking down at her computer doing her notes. She did inform me, even though she wasn't looking. She heard him asked me about my mammogram. He then asked me have I had any new issues since, My last visit. I told him Yes. That I've been having some right side pain. After, all the questioning. He asked me to get on the exam table. I did just that. His back was towards my community support worker so, she couldn't see what he was doing. The exam began. He started checking my glands, he then asked me to lay down on the table. He started pressing down on my stomach and then he asked me where the pain was on my right side. I showed him and then. He asked me the second time. Was I updated on my mammogram. He then. GRABBED MY RIGHT BREAST HARD!!!!! I was in shocked. I couldn't believe what he just did to me! He grabbed my right breast!!! Since, I was laying on the table. He grabbed my arm to pull me up. Once, I got up. I looked over at my Community support worker. She was still looking down at her computer. I felt so alone at that point! She wasn't paying attention! She didn't see what he had done to me. I'm ANGRY! HURT! CONFUSED! I'm supposed to feel safe at my Doctor's office. He's my GI Doctor! Not a breast Doctor! He's not my OBGYN! He doesn't do mammogram's! He asked me twice, If I was updated with my mammograms! I told him Yes and He grabbed my breast!!! I have PTSD! What he did to me has added to my already traumatic life!!! I don't and didn't deserve what he did to me! Once my community support worker and I left the office as soon as we got in the car. I told her immediately!!! I told her. How Uncomfortable I felt and that he grabbed my right breast. Even after I told him Yes, I'm updated with my mammograms! I came in for a follow up appointment and left out violated! My emotions are all over the place. I keep having flashbacks of him grabbing my right breast. I'm even upset with my community support worker. She shouldn't have been looking at her computer the whole time! She has apologized to me for not paying attention and for what happened to me but, I'm hurt! He grabbed my breast! I'm 50 years old and I have been violated by a DOCTOR!!! People might look at me as a NOBODY compared to him because, of his Profession. God knows the truth!! I will take a Lie detector test to prove, every thing, I stated is the 1000% Truth!!! I don't have a history accusing a medical professional of doing something to me. He's the only one and I'm ANGRY!! Dr. Hassan! KEEP YOUR NASTY AND FILTHY HANDS TO YOURSELF! I feel so nasty and dirty! I've never given you permission to grab my breast and I never will!!! God will hold you accountable for what you did to me! It's because of you!!! I'm having flashbacks and crying all day because of your actions!!!! Yelp is asking me to give you a star. I don't want to. In order for my review to be posted I have to. You don't deserve anything!

I wouldn't take my kids nowhere else. The staff is very pleasant. They have never been rubbed the wrong way with them. From the front desk to the nurses to the doctor. They are absolutely amazing. One nurse by the name of Corey I think it's I'm not mistaking, sorry if I get it wrong she has dreads with glasses. She is very sweet , one day I took my newborn to the doctor recently after having him and the hospital didn't send me home with any milk and I needed to make my 2 0clock appointment at the Wic office.. she took it upon herself to call and let them know I'll probably be a little late because of my doctors appointment. She didn't have to do that but out the kindness of her heart she made sure there was a spot for me and my baby because he was on his last of milk. I cried because of the effort and lengths she went to make sure my baby had milk made me so happy. Going to the Wic appointment I made it on time and they were amazing. Another lady I'm so sad I don't know her name but she sit in the front in the office to the right she wears glasses and she always almost has a ponytail omg she did me a favor as well and long story short she signed the papers stating my son has a medical condition and gave me 30 extra days to come up with pay for my light bill ending of bill...... Not to mention doctor Murphy is a excellent pediatrician.. like amazing. I love how everyone remembers my children and look forward to seeing them. . The staff is sooooo amazing. I love Brandon at the front desk as well he is always sweet. S

Is this normal? I…read morewanted to find a new primary care doctor -- someone who did not also see the rest of my family and serve as a pastor on the side. I found a recommendation for a doctor two minutes from my house (YAY!) and made an initial establishing-care appointment. He spent about an hour going over my entire health history with me. Dr: What specifically brings you in today? Me: I'd like to get my vitamin D levels tested, maybe my thyroid, and find out my blood type for possible kidney donation. Dr: While kidney donation is a noble impulse, I'd like to know what your reasoning is for considering this. Me: My friend's special needs daughter is in kidney failure. Her father can't donate because of his cholesterol and we don't know if mom will be a match. Dr: I'd like you to really consider your motivation in doing this. Are you trying to fill a hole in your own life by latching into someone else's child? People can actually live for decades and have quite a good life on dialysis. Me: (stares at him) Dr: I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I'm saying it is a very big decision, and you need to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. Now. What is your understanding of the life-expectancy of kidney donors? Me: I'm not familiar. Dr: It's a reduction of 9 years. 9 years off your life. A decade is a large part of your life to give up, so you need to really consider that. Moving on. Do you want to have children? Me: My last long-term relationship was 7 years ago, so I've pretty much made my peace with the fact that that's not in the cards for me. Dr: I have 4 patients about your age who have gone alternative routes. Me: that's nice but I'm on a teacher's salary. Dr: One of my patients is only a cafeteria worker! She managed to have a child in her salary! Me: (Is he allowed to tell me this? And is this a pissing contest??) Dr: I'm just saying, don't make a vast life decision like this without fully considering all your options. Me: okay well to tell you the truth, I think I'd be a terrible mother. Dr: oh. Well. Okay. I don't usually find that level of self-awareness. Moving on. I see you have a tattoo. Do you plan on getting more? Me: Maybe? Dr: All right, we'll test you for hepatitis C, as well. All right, let's look at your medications. You are on anti-depressants. I'd like you to start doing some things that can add value and make your life better. Me: I do lots of valuable things that have made my life better. I volunteer with Mission: St. Louis. I started a Drumline. Dr: Those just sound like things that other people think you should be doing. It's time to get selfish. I want you to start doing things that YOU want to do. It went on and on like this. It ended thusly: Dr: From now on, you don't go to hospitals. Hospitals are for extremely sick people. Urgent Care is for after hours when none of us are here in the office. But if we're open and something happens, you call the office and we get you in that day, as long as you have a six-month checkup booked with us. And I'd like you to really consider your motivations for the kidney donation, to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. It's been a really long time since I went to a new doctor's office. Are these kinds of conversations normal now?
