After my initial time trying to get an appointment, I am giving his place another chance. We will see how my appointment goes tomorrow.

The delays are ridiculous - 3 stars…read more I found an Endocrinology physician at the U of M that I like. But the amount of time waiting for an appointment is ridiculous. Healthcare delayed is healthcare denied. 1. My first follow-up appointment took 6 months. My second follow-up appointment (the most important one) was a 9 month wait!!! 2. But after waiting a full 9 months, I was called the day before and I was told I needed to schedule a video appointment the next day instead. No explanation - I just need to do it. When I asked questions, it was like the person was reading from a script...an entirely unsatisfactory conversation...it was like I was talking to a robot. Only a cheesy video appointment after 9 months? How can she physically check my thyroid? How can I show her the symptoms on my feet? How about the blood draw I need to do on the 1st floor Lab (Endo is on the 3rd floor)? On top that, I don't have a computer or a phone that would work for a video...a phone call, sure...not video. 3. I cancelled my cheap "video" appointment and I noticed another appointment wasn't available until December. So that would be a total of 15 months for an in-person doctor's visit. Over a year? Not cool. 4. I talked to the scheduler and she told me there are 20 physicians in the Endocrinology (Diabetes/Metabolism) Department. Why are waits so long with 20 doctors? 5. Last but not least, all 20 of the physicians are female. Where are all the male doctors? As a male, I feel way more comfortable meeting with a health professional of the same gender. Goodbye, University Endo Department! I love your medical technology. I like a few of your doctors. But I hate your wait times. Scheduling needs desperate improvement. And you need better gender equity with your staff.

Was great for years ... now it's not the same. Especially type one diabetics need much guidance and…read moresupport. Technology changes but less instruction, this is not a good sign
