Best school ever! My daughter has been attending Discovery since kindergarten after we transferred…read moreher from preschool, and she is now finishing first grade. I can honestly say this school has been one of the biggest blessings for our family. The progress my daughter has made in reading, writing, confidence, and communication has been incredible. What stands out the most to me is how much the school truly focuses not only on the children, but also on the families. Even though there are several students in each classroom, the organization, education, and individual attention given to every child is phenomenal. The teachers and staff genuinely listen to the needs of each student and family, and that level of care is something very special and rare to find. As a mother who previously had a very negative experience with another school with my older child, finding Discovery completely changed my perspective and restored my trust in what a school community should feel like. Unfortunately, when I moved to this area, my older son was already too old to attend this school, and I truly wish he could have experienced the same environment my daughter has had here. One of the things I appreciate most is how they work hard to keep children active and involved, especially for families who may not have the resources for expensive extracurricular activities. The after-school activities, family events, flag football, choir practice, singing activities, and the way they bring families together create such a beautiful sense of community. The parents have gotten to know one another, the children create strong friendships, and the environment feels welcoming and supportive for everyone. My daughter is always happy to go to school, and at the same time, she is already sad knowing that next school year will be her last year here. That alone says so much about the love and connection this school creates for its students. I wanted to be one of the first people to leave a review for Discovery because this school deserves recognition for the amazing work they do every single day. I will always be grateful to the teachers, staff, and administration for everything they have done for my daughter and for the positive impact they have had on our family.

The teachers are experienced, and their approach is very thoughtful. The classroom is prepared just right for the students, and there's so much for her to explore and learn with. I feel I've learned as well about how to support my daughter's education. We're excited about sending our second daughter to Montessori Time once she's old enough. Some notes: They have an excellent music curriculum and Spanish instruction once a week. They also offer summer day camps focused on specific topics. This was a great way to help our daughter (and ourselves) feel comfortable with being in preschool.

My son would aimlessly wander the halls and because "they dont do hall sweeps for 6th graders, they weren't too worried about him"...smh! I've googled this school and they have a very bad rap online ESPECIALLY for fighting and a crooked principal ...not to mention too...the new principal mrs. becky owens, has lied to me several times one stating they have no security onsite when they do and telling me "IM NOT ALLOWED TO SEE MY SON AT SCHOOL WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM HER AND HIS TEACHERS FIRST, IT'S IN THE TEACHERS CONTRACTS"...they conceal my son away from me as if she is hiding something or hiding something one of her teachers are doing...all in all i hate it and im never going back with my children. They treat my husband like he is a terrorist or something simply cause he is black and my son is blonde hair, blue-eyed and it makes all of us VERY uncomfortable!! Lousy lousy school and staff!!!

There is no gym, they have gym in the hallways and the teachers, like the librarian like to beat the children. It wasn't until a parent threatened to sue that they dismissed the teacher permanently. They are not friendly towards special needs children, they rather not deal with it. But they do love to collect collect collect! I waited a few years to make a final review and that is all I have to say about them, Im taking my kids to St. Charles next year. This attempt to help a struggling school was hopeless.

My oldest son has special needs and the owner/ provider has been more than helpful and accommodating. I get updates throughout the day (with pictures! ) My kids eat better than I do! My son learned more in one month going here than 2 years in a traditional daycare. He comes home with more and more knowledge every day. If you are worried about an in- home setting, worried your kids will just get put in front of the TV and neglected, DON'T BE WITH THIS DAYCARE! I have stopped in at all different times and have never had any worries! Ms. Lilly enjoys what she does. It's not just a paycheck to her. It's about the kids. My son use to cry when I had to take him to other daycares. Now he BEGS to go! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I can't praise them enough. If you are tired of your kid getting lost in the shuffle, or shoved into big classrooms, call Boots and Bows. Prices are more than fair! I don't feel like I'm missing out at all with my kids.
Well... we moved to our current house because we wanted our kids to grow up in Puyallup Schools…read more Our oldest son and daughter went to Brouillet Elementary. Our experience started off strong as we had some really good teachers but after a new principle took over many of them jumped ship. After a very disappointing and ridiculous approach to the pandemic, we left for private school. We felt that after nearly suffocating our kids for year and a half, we were DONE. Enduring the combination of far left progressive politics infused in the classroom and oblivious approach to child development, it was apparent that, to the administration, our kids were seen as $ signs and political statements, not as people. As far as teachers, there are some VERY good people who work in this district. We have many friends who teach in district and are AMAZING in spite of their environment and the BS they put up with. Now, I would give the teachers overall a 3 star because our experience was so bipolar. One year our son had a really great teacher, who challenged him, held him accountable and pushed him to grow. The next his teacher stopped showing up after the first week. Literally no showed, leaving the whole class in disarray. Ultimately, we felt that the "luck of the draw" approach was absurd, and we subsequently left. Private school is a major sacrifice but far better, very enriching with HIGH expectations for personal responsibility. We will never go back to Puyallup Schools.

I was hoping this could have been a bus for a sports team needing to go someplace early, but instead we are given this. I am honestly disappointed in both school district and whoever sets up charter buses. You promised us a charter bus, we deserve that charter bus. Thank you.
