The cabin…read morewas spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed -- including comfortable 2 sets of bunk beds and a queen size bed, a kitchenette, and a private porch where we could relax with our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The campground itself is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of shade and well-maintained grounds. We loved taking advantage of the bike and kayak rentals. I did enjoyed the fire pit we had outside the cabin where my friend and I made delicious s'mores. It's also just a short drive to Madeira Beach and other fun spots around St. Pete. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and you can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. A huge thanks and a huge shout out to Raquel who made sure we had an amazing experience. She not only make sure our cabin was immaculate at all times but she also provided us with useful information about places to visit around the area like John's Pass, St. Petersburg Pier and War Veteran's Memorial Park. This KOA has the perfect mix of nature and comfort, and it's ideal for a group of friends, couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in a cabin without roughing it. We stayed here for a month in February 2021 when we moved down to Florida. The park is older so the roads are very narrow making it hard to back into sites. The sites are an ok width with room to put chairs and relax. The view at most of the sites is just the RVs at the other sites. The park had an outbreak of covid and during the time we got to the park. We really appreciated the park telling us. We had already been staying in a self-isolation of sorts which is easy in your own RV even in a park. This park staff is honest and will let you know what's going on-though, I'm sure some parks would not. We only had one issue during our stay-we had trouble getting our deposit back when we returned the fob for the restrooms and laundry. We did get it mailed to us but it took numerous phone calls and trips to the park. There are a number of amenities available such as pickleball courts, a heated pool, recreation hall, l shuffleboard court and others. There are also activities that you can enjoy. We were here during the Covid-19 pandemic so did not use or do any of these.

The park is very convenient off I-275 on US 41. The streets are paved, the sites are gravel for the RV, parking for your vehicle is grass with a concrete patio with a picnic table. It's not a big park and there are many park models so you need to get your request for a site in early for the winter season. Luckily, they had a space available for us in June. They have a nice saltwater pool which was the perfect temperature. I really enjoyed There are also amenities & things to do but we did not take part in them. The sites are decent so you have room between your slides and the neighbors. Everyone we met was very nice. I want to mention Jaden Clark, who works in the office and Marty, head of maintenance. They are both very nice, knowledgeable and super helpful!! I made our reservations and checked-in through Jared. Marty helped us back in and get the water going. They are both real assets!! I recommend Winterset RV Resort. We haven't stayed longer or during the season so can't talk about long term or seasonal visits. I cannot say about anything else, but we enjoyed our stay at the park.

Most years we are here. Cozy units with kitchens, right on the beach. Close to the strip of restaurants and watering holes. Beach is wide here and there is a pool, hot tub, shuffelboard and large grill with gazebo seating. Plenty of shade and an outdoor seating area with flat screen tv for card/board games or to catch the game on tv. The rooms are cumfortable for 2 and there is also a pullout queen for kids or adults. Full kitchen w/oven microwave and dishwasher. Definitely one of our favorite places!

The worst management and extra charges on my credit card after ordering through booking.com…read more We stayed at this location for 4 nights between December 29th, 2018 and January 2nd, 2019. We ordered this on booking.com and we're giving a total including taxes.The page also stated there was a $35 charge. No other charges were to be posted per their advertisement.  They assigned me to room 6609. I received the verification letter from the hotel itself. The agreement when booking at booking.com is to pay 30% at the time of booking and the balance at arrival. For some reason they charged me $176 to my credit card( after I had already paid the $156 for the 30% down) without my knowledge prior to my arrival. In addition they added other fees on to the final bill. Then upon my arrival they had changed me to a second-floor room which they say is partial view but even if you stick your neck around the corner of the balcony you can see about 4% of the beach and 96% of buildings. On our last night, January 1st, 2019, there were notes posted that no staff was on duty and to call the emergency number in case of an emergency. We ran the dishwasher and went out to dinner Upon returning to the room the whole room smells like smoke from a fire pit or some other serious fire. No smoke detector was going off. We searched the room and found that one of their paper towels was in the bottom of the dishwasher and head burnt on the heating coil of the dated dishwasher. I spoke with the manager of the site, and elderly lady in her 60s. She was the rudest person but I have encountered in many years. She told me I should have called the emergency Vine I told her the fire was already out but the room smelled like smoke and we had to sleep with the doors open. She proceeded to tell me that there is nothing she could do as a Goodwill gesture in reference to the sleeping in a room that smells like smoke and the a legal charge on my account and the room change from 6609 to 2207. In an extremely professional manner, I restated all of the issues that I had encountered upon my stay. She just walked away from me and said there's nothing I can do so you you just need to leave. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! MANAGER IS INCOMPETENT! RUDE RUDE RUDE! This is the first-ever negative review I have posted online. Water pressure isn't the best (between 30-40psi) sewage treatment plant is noisy at first but you get used to it. There is a dumpster, mail room, laundry on site, Park is mostly comprised of owned residencies most of which have seasonal residents all of which I found to be very nice. Low monthly price does not include electric, I got charged twice for the first months electric but did not realize it until after I left so keep your receipts and compare them if your staying longer than a month or so.
