Once you cross the foot bridge over the beautiful stream, you can visit with all of the residents & you can scan the qr code posted along the way, you will learn the stories of the individuals who live at AH. I am so relieved that we chose to trust Angels with Paws to care for our beloved dog, Clementine, on the hardest day. We will always be grateful to Brian and Roberta for their kindness, compassion, and respect. They were both professional and empathetic. They treated our sweet girl with dignity and allowed us time to say goodbye. I called and emailed to ask questions before needing their services, and they were both so patient, communicative and helpful, which gave me so much comfort. My questions about private individual cremation were addressed promptly and thoroughly by Roberta on the phone, and Brian by email. Although they offer pick up, it was important to us to go to Angels with Paws to ensure we felt comfortable. We were so fortunate to be able to choose in-home euthanasia, and we took our dog for cremation afterward. We arrived later than expected, and Brian was so accommodating, and ensured we did not feel rushed. We appreciated his quiet presence and empathy, and he expressed his condolences several times. Angels with Paws offers a nice selection of urns, memorial jewelry, and other keepsakes, too. The drive through the mountains from Asheville was beautiful, and upon arrival we felt such a sense of peace. They have chosen a lovely, tranquil location, and the crematory itself is located outside. We arrived toward the end of the day, and our amazing girl was wrapped in her blanket and cremated under a starry sky. We were relieved to hear that Clementine's ashes were ready for pickup sooner than expected. Our only regret is that Angels with Paws did not provide cremation services for our previous animals years ago. We have always had suitable experiences in the past, but this was different. Angels with Paws is a locally-owned family business and they genuinely care. They took extra time to honor our wishes, and this meant more than words can express. I went to HTCC because I recently moved from Asheville to Candler, and our previous daycare in Asheville is too out of the way. So many things to say, so I included a short version and a detailed version Cliff notes version of this review: 5/5 for facility 5/5 for staff 5/5 for policy 5/5 from my dog's response to his encounters there 5/5 from my encounters there And the detailed review: Staff are very friendly, seems happy when working, and communicative with each other. They are always a joy to see so early in the morning drop off. I was a bit nervous about the daycare interview because my dog is leash reactive and often need special attention when being introduced to new dog friends. Kim, their manager was very assuring, and his interview turned out great! I was able to do a thorough walk through of the place before bringing my dog in to see where he would spend his days. We received a report card from his interview day with a sweet picture of him. The report included details of his day and how he behaved. Something that took some getting use to when we transitioned is their attendance cap policy. You have to call ahead to see if there's room for your dog for the day- that wasn't a thing at our old place. A bit annoying/inconvenience at first because sometimes last minute things happen and I need him there and then, but then I starting liking the fact that they don't overfill the play areas! Sometimes when I went to pick up my dog from our old daycare, I wouldn't see my dog outside and it would be because the yards are too full and he ends up spending time inside (in the kitchen, one time?) and he would come home with energy and boredom. So now I do value the daycare size limitation they HTCC has in place. They post pictures and videos of dogs at play on their Instagram, and that is always a pick me up in the middle of my day. Their hours are convenient for someone that works full time. They are also open on weekends for daycare! Which is a nice upgrade from our last daycare. My dog with slight separation anxiety literally will forget about me the moment we step out of my car and he knows he's at his happy place. That's how much he loves this place! The cherry on top that made my day was when they surprised me with this amazing, hilarious, photoshopped picture of my dog (see attached photo)!! The picture itself is amazing, but it also shows wonderful staff engagement with the dogs there. They truly do care for the dogs, enjoy working with dogs, and it shows in so many ways! General laundry list of pros: - quick pick up/drop off (haven't had to wait for available staff to bring my dog back/out) - clean facility- my dog doesn't come home smelling like kennels/pet waste or industrial strength cleaning chemicals - facility location has perfect distance away from busy roads, so I know dogs aren't stressed by traffic noise or at great risk of danger if they escape (hasn't happened with mine) - knowledgeable staff/manager has 10 years of experience in working with dogs, and is certified in dog training - well equipped facility with good spacing in play areas - proper dog size/energy group placement - super star staff!!!
