I was rudely approached by a salesman on the acoustic piano side of the store who asked the cursory salesman question, "Can I answer any questions?" I replied, "No. Just looking." His response was to step a bit closer with his hands in his pocket and his posture exaggeratingly taller giving me a major stare. I asked if this was okay? He then asks, "I know you, don't I?" I said, "Nope. Not from here." His response as he is making me that much more uncomfortable with his glaring stare, "Oh, I know you! You are in here all the time!" He the stares me up and down staring at my shoes and then slowly moving up until he makes eye contact once again. I felt so uncomfortable by this point that I walked out of the store. Here is my suggestion to the owners of this music shop: When a customer walks into your store treat them with respect. The alternative: The 7 to 10Gs the customer was planning on spending on a pro keyboard arranger, workstation and podcast studio equipment will not ever be spent in your store.

They have some beautiful instruments at all different prices from many of the premium brands. They also have a great selection of pedals and some cool amps. But besides all the cool gear, Barnett's has some really down-to-earth people, which is probably the most important thing. The staff there is super friendly and accommodating. No attitude at all. Not like a lot of places I've visited, where you almost need a background check to touch a guitar. And if you want to be left alone, that's no problem either. If you love guitars (electric and acoustic), you should really make it a point to visit Barnett's. It's worth the trip.

Man was he right! The photographs of the collection don't really do it justice. Vintage and collectible Gibson's and Fenders. Along with a beautiful collection of acoustic guitars as well. But what really impressed me was how friendly the folks in there were. I was told that I could look around and play whatever I wanted, while I was standing next to a 1968 Stratocaster. I didn't play it but man it sure was beautiful. I would say this place could hold its own against Mike's Music in Cincinnati and the top floor of Gruhn Guitars in Nashville any day of the week. I was able to get out of there with just a T-shirt for my daughter, but I suspect my next trip back. I may have some spending money in my pocket. Just an absolutely outstanding experience.

I had fallen completely out of love with a luthier-made partscaster I bought during the pandemic…read more In the past year, I'd pick it up, play for a while and invariably switch to a Les Paul or a tele. I've had other establishments try to bring the partscaster back to life but to no avail. I was all but ready to sell the guitar for much less than I paid for it when I heard Running Dogs Music has the veteran experience to do more than switch strings, look down the fretboard for a second and then take my money. Instead, I walked in pleading for them to help me love my guitar again. The team heard me out, and actually had me play on a guitar in the store that had a perfect setup. It was a $200 guitar but sounded beautiful. 24 hours later I picked up my guitar, got home, plugged it in and immediately realized why I loved it the first time I played it. I cannot thank the team enough and I will most definitely recommend them to friends. They are awesome!

A choir of 200 voices was heard during that performance. Spectacular. This is a beautiful venue. Great sight lines, comfortable seats and very good sound. The Signature Symphony is comprised of Tulsans unlike symphonies in other cities who employ professional musicians from out of their direct area. It's wonderful to attend Signature Symphony performances and support our local musicians.
