Located in East Nashville, Encircle Acupuncture is a community based treatment spot that provides acupuncture, relaxation and recovery in an open room for a fair price. I happened upon Encircle during my search for acupuncture due to some existing nerve damage. I had good luck with acupuncture in Atlanta and was hopeful to find the same relief here. While the overall service received was good, I should have done my homework a bit more, as I was after electro-acupuncture. The style of service here is your general pressure point acupuncture with small needles inserted at various spots along the body. I was looking for a more aggressive treatment to target the spots specifically. I will say that treatment I received was good. All the staff and acupuncturists were phenomenally kind and took great care of the patients. The room is set with recliners and soft music, creating a space of relaxation during treatment. While I did not find the relief I was after, I can appreciate what they are offering and doing for folks here at Encircle! read more

Ive come two times so far and I'm very impressed. Although this is community acupuncture, it doesn't feel weird or un-private. I've been treated so kindly each visit. I love the "how was your rest?" In a soothing voice question when it's time to take the needles out. I definitely recommend bringing ear buds to block out some of the action in the room. The fee is on a sliding scale and they ask you to pay what you're comfortable paying- they don't treat any differently based on what you pay, and they don't ask for proof of income. I feel cared for and in really good hands coming in for care. I am coming in as part of fertility treatment so not sure yet if it "works" but either way it's a nice, soothing ,relaxing way to spend an hour each week! read more

I randomly found this acupuncture business by searching places in my area. Considering the high fee's everywhere, I thought I would give this a try. The initial fee was so reasonable and then the rest of the visits are based on what you're comfortable paying. I was skeptical at first, as this was my first time receiving this type of treatment and the atmosphere wasn't what I was expecting. The facility was clean, inviting and pleasant. My pain issue was discussed with the acupuncturist and the process was painless and comfortable. Definitely surprised by the results...which were cured in the course of the day. I had NO pain during my flight the next day, nor the whole WE that I was away from home. I made another appointment as a follow up to ensure that I was truly addressing the issue. The acupuncturist remembered I had flown and asked how my trip was. She is sweet, gentle and shows a very calming manner of care. After the second treatment...I have not had anymore pain. :) This will definitely be my source for acupuncture care. I'm so 'thankful' to have found a source that is NOT price gouging. I had called another facility and they didn't answer the phone and never called me back. Plus their fee was $129 for the first visit. As we all know, pain care can get very pricey, but WE NEED HELP...and sometimes we pay the price to be out of pain but we don't return for follow ups because it's so pricey. Bellevue Location: I was hesistant to write a review because I fully appreciate acupuncture and what it has done for me in the past. I have had several private acupuncture sessions at other locations that I will rave about. This was my first experience at Encircle or with community acupuncture and I felt it might be of value to someone out there. I took my boyfriend here for his first acupuncture experience a few weeks ago. During the visit I had no issues, other than noise consistently during the session, but that was to be expected with community acupuncture. We left feeling good, but I felt somewhat personally underwhelmed compared to my past experiences with acupuncture. To get to the reason for writing this review... Later that night we found a needle in my boyfriend's sock after it had poked him. We were very freaked out. Thoughts being, was the needle not removed after his treatment or was it in the basket that his sock was stored in during the treatment?? I am a nurse and was obviously very concerned because of the risk associated with needles and bloodborne infectious diseases. Then more recently, I found another needle on my living room floor while vacumming. These needles were unmistakably the same and from the session. After this, I called the spot to voice my concerns and have yet to hear back for any resolution or explanation. 5 stars! The new location is fantastic. It's accessible to the east side and downtown, you just shoot down Woodland. Alexa and team just keep bringing it. Every time I leave happy and healthy. It also doesn't hurt that it is located next to Nashville Sweets. There is plenty of parking in the new location as well. Make sure you either call or make an appointment online. There are plenty of recliners but they can fill up. If you are even slightly interested in acupuncture give them a try. You'll feel good and so will your wallet! read more

Um - can I give 6 stars? This place is awesome!! It's a fraction of what I've paid at any other acupuncturist (only $13 with the August 5 pack special!) but as much, if not more, effective and enjoyable. I love the space. The room is so calming and inviting, and I like the community atmosphere. I like that they cover me with a blanket and that I can stay as long as I like (good night!) Everyone I've met there has been so warm and welcoming - they are clearly passionate about their work and their cheer rubs off on me! (for acupuncture newbies - they're great at explaining the process and making you feel comfortable). And the acupuncturists know their stuff. I always leave feeling great, and I've felt quick and noticeable relief for every issue I've gone in for. Finally, I love that you can make appointments online - including the day of. Nice place, very affordable. But it wasn't as effective for me as when my chiropractor administered acupuncture treatment. At a chiropractor you can lay on your stomach and get needles in the back. I don't think that would be possible here because it's all lounge chairs. read more

Came here as a recommendation from a friend. It was first time getting acupuncture and I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I wanted to try it. I made my first appointment and the day of my appointment I had a consult with the therapist to find out why I came and what I want to accomplish. This is a community setting acupuncture. You go inside a big room where you share the space with other people who are also getting treatments done. They have relaxing music playing and some aromatherapy, but you are allowed to listen to your own music just as long as you've got headphones. Or if you want complete silence I guess you can bring earplugs. There are recliners in the room where you can relax, nap, and literally stay for as long as you like, anddddd choose how much you want to pay. There's a scale where you can choose from and you pay that amount. This was located somewhere where it's easy to find and located in a cute little business in East Nashville. Overall, it was a good experience. Did the needles hurt you ask? Yes. Lol people say they don't even feel it. I guess those people have no pain receptors or they're just big fat liars! Would I try it again? Yes. Did I feel like the treatment worked? Yes. I felt so sore the next day... I guess that's because it released all the toxins and tensions out of my body. I started a stressful graduate program a few months ago and don't know where my adrenals would be without ENCA. I have been to multiple acupuncturists over the years, but Alexa Husley (the owner) is by far the best. She is so attentive and warm whenever I come in and always takes the time to explain to me where she will be placing the acupuncture needles and what my body needs. She and many of her staff member attended Yo San University in Los Angeles, a highly selective and competitive acupuncture school. I would recommend everyone on her staff. I had never done community acupuncture until I came to ENCA. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I love it. The couches are comfy, the rooms are dimly lit, and the music is relaxing. It also feels really special to be healing alongside others. The receptionist in the front is always professional and friendly. They serve a delicious caffeine free tea (I tend to get to appointments early to gulp down a few cups before I entered the treatment room!). The treatments are on a sliding scale ($15 - $35). I am so grateful that Alexa has created a center that makes acupuncture accessible to folks from different financial situations. Also, there is always plenty of free parking outside of ENCA, and they are located conveniently next to Yeast Nashville (super delicious breakfast tacos!). I would highly recommend ENCA. I call this place my happy place. After opening a new business my body was experiencing the toll stress can take on you. I discovered ENCA and it has helped me tremendously. The treatments are on a sliding scale so it's very affordable - I took advantage of the august special and got 5 treatments for $65. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. The set up is "community" style. There are about 25 recliner chairs in a large room that is dimly lit. But you do have a sense of privacy based on how the chairs are spread out. Each chair is covered and the cover is replaced between each patient. There are white noise machines and spa music to help you relax. There is an initial consultation the first time you go and then after that you just head into the room and give your practitioner an update and they tailor your treatment that day based on how you're feeling. I love that you can make an appointment online. That is super easy and you get an email reminder. You can often get an appointment same day but you might want to book 2-3 days ahead to get your preferred time. Free hot tea is available in the lobby. I try to make it a point to go every week to have some time to rest and take care of myself. I've recommended ENCA to multiple friends who have tried it and loved it. read more

5 stars isn't enough for East Nashville Community Acupuncture! I've been going to acupuncture for quite some time and the entire staff makes it such a pleasant experience. Typically Jenelle, Trey, or Jessica help me out. All of them are always so welcoming, friendly, and informative. I've been going to them since their first location off of Gallatin, but the space on Woodland is so much better! Much more quiet and ample parking. The room itself is so peaceful with sleep machines and comfy chairs. I know some quibble about it being a community space, but when you get seated you completely forget the others around. I could gush forever about them, but I'll spare everyone! Just take my advice and give community acupuncture a try. Two thumbs up! read more

I'm well into my 4th week of treatment at ENCA and I could spend days raving about it, but I'll make it as short and relevant as I can. I'm a long sufferer of chronic pain and arthritis from years of damage caused from gymnastics. I don't sleep well,my stress level is high, and I have a demanding job. I've looked for affordable acupuncture for years and I've finally found it! You choose your pay- $15, $25, or $35 per visit. No pay stub required. The first visit is almost like going to the doctor. What brought you in? It seems nearly any issue you have can be treated or if you just need to relax. I've been treated by everyone. They are all knowledgeable, kind, and fully dedicated to helping you feel better. They will recommend how often you should come in the beginning and check on your progress with every visit. The treatment room is large, open, and quiet. The lighting is soft. There are numerous sound machines and soft relaxing sound is played on speakers. You can also bring earbuds if that suits you better. You share the space with others so there are lots of reclining chairs to choose from. Once you pick your spot, they will come to you. There are even little eye masks so you can snooze. I don't think I will ever know what's it's like to have a completely pain free life, but I've felt what it's like to have your body let go of it. I love this place and the folks in it. They've already helped me tremendously. Edit: I feel like this needs to be added. Life throws you new obstacles every day. I have been every day for the last 4 days and will continue to go until my pain issue is fully resolved. I went to a dr and the emergency room this week before going to acupuncture. The Dr. told me the only option was surgery, and the hospital after endless tests had nothing further to help with the pain or guidance on how to proceed. I'm new to Nashville and am familiar with these types of clinics in Philly, and LA, and they have saved me, physical and financially. Finding one on my side of the city was a huge relief. The practitioners all have different meridians for my treatment but they have all been kind, welcoming, comforting and knowledgeable. You get what you pay for and the best I can say this place is cheap. My treatment was Generic. Sitting in an easy chair with needles in my hands and feet did absolutely nothing for my back pain. This is the only acupuncture establishment I've ever been to, but it's a been a pleasure during my first two visits. My first visit consisted of an attentive consultation and then acupuncture treatment/relaxation in the open-seating quiet area. Because of a scheduling error on my part, my next visit was with a different acupuncturist, who was also incredibly accommodating and serene. I have come back a dozen times and I can sincerely recommend this establishment for effective and simple acupuncture. WOW! I can barely feel them put the needles in when I go here. They use special Japanese needles that are the thinest needle around. I use to be terrified to try Acupuncture because I hate things touching my skin, luckily my sister pushed me to go and I am forever thankful she did. What a great place. I'm so glad I found this place! I was doubtful about acupuncture relieving my neck and low back pain but I was so tired of taking pills for chronic pain. And, even the medication wasn't really working well Anymore. I wish now, I would have found Encircle sooner. The staff is all so understanding and pleasant. They listen and treat your pain according to your complaints. The needles are very tiny and are virtually painless for the most part. You rest in an lazy boy" type recliner for as long as you chose. I've actually fallen asleep multiple times. I find that I can usee this time to meditate as I relax . The price is on a slIding scale from 20$ up to 40$. I found that initiallly I ended too go 3 or so times the 1st Few weeks but as the pain has lessened I only need to go for maintenance about 1 time each week. My pain has reduced considerably and I enJoy returning just to totally relax mY body. You will love this place! Don't be afraid to try this ancient technique to relieve pain. Don't forget that if you have chronic pain you have much inflammation. It takes a few weeks to get the Nerves to calm down. I am very pleased with my results. This place is truly amazing! I've done acupuncture before but not in a community setting so I was a little worried that I would be distracted by other people. Not to worry - I felt completely comfortable and relaxed the whole time I was there. My initial consult was friendly and Jenelle made me feel welcomed and comfortable. When the needles were in she told me to try to stay at least 30 minutes but to stay as long as I would like. I'm very ADD so I was worried that I would get fidgety and not be able to stay 30 minutes. I felt myself relax and before I knew it I was in there over an hour. The room is fairly dark and the chairs are perfect so getting in a nice comfy position is super easy. When I felt like I was ready to get up another girl walked over and helped me out. I can't wait to go again! What a nice way to spend a couple hours! read more

PLEASE TRY THIS!!! At least more than 3 or 4 times, and kind of close together. I promise you will notice a difference! And the more specific you are about your symptoms, e.g. post nasal issues like from allergies, say it. It will be treated and will get better! These treatments have to be continued though and its exactly why they are so AFFORDABLE! They must be treated for results. And I'm telling you, they're real... I have seen nearly every acupuncturist they have and they all have their unique touch. Find the one that seems to fit/work for you the best. Called and made appointment. Downloaded forms as requested. Got up early had light meal as suggested. Allowed plenty of travel time knowing the only time available was 8:15 and I'd be fighting morning rush hour. I was and I did. 30 minutes into my commute they called to tell me they didn't have anybody coming in and they couldn't get a hold of anybody. The call saved me the last 5 minutes of my drive. The woman that called was very nice and apologetic. I decided why get involved in a multi-visit routine with a group that is so fragile and poorly run. I opted not to reschedule. Sadly I haven't been for a visit in a while and I couldn't even tell you why other than I've just been very busy. I went a handful of times and I can't say enough good things about my experiences. I always request Jenelle. She is incredibly sweet and gentle. I am honestly more of a fan of a private acupuncture setting, but it's not as "public" as I had initially expected (dimly lit, chairs far enough apart to have your space, etc). Plus compared to what I'm used to paying for acupuncture ($60-75 per visit), this is great for someone who can afford to go between visits with their regular acupuncturist. It's on a sliding scale from $15-35. Your choice! You absolutely cannot beat that deal. Alexa has taken out my needles a couple of times when I've woken up and she is also incredibly friendly and personable. Ummm...what Kristel said. But let me add that after three weeks (total of six sessions), I feel "mahvelous" and while pain and other issues haven't totally disappeared, they do seem to have abated. The biggest result so far is an incredibly calm peace of mind, making for better sleep and better overall energy during the day, which makes for better productivity. Like the space....the comfort of the recliners...and don't really mind the "group" element, though one guy was snoring loudly one day which is why they suggest you bring earplugs. Trey is great; haven't been administered needles by any of the others but I'm sure all hands on deck are "ship shape" from what I've read in other reviews. Truly this IS as good as it gets. Alexa and team are wonderful. Stress, hip pain and heel pain every step for over 5 months. I did everything including cortisone shots. After 4 wonderful treatments I am so much better. After heel pain stops I will keep going due to stress. The sliding scale payments allow everyone who is in pain to afford acupuncture. The location is great and setting is quite and very relaxing. I cant say enough good things about ENCA. Love it. Very grateful to be feeling well again. read more
