Carra called the cops and traumatized our children!
Our family had high hopes for a memorable birthday photo shoot at Enchanted Fairies in Westchester County, especially with our photographer, Carra. We booked a session for seven of us my best friend, our collective five children, and we were excited to celebrate my five-year-old's birthday and my two-year-old goddaughter's special day. The booking process seemed promising; the staff was accommodating, securing our time slot from 3 PM to 7 PM.
However, upon arrival, we were met with an unsettling atmosphere. Carra's demeanor was anything but welcoming. As she gathered our names and asked a few questions about dress colors, her response to my two children, who followed me to the desk, was abrupt and alarming. "Back up, back up! You are too close to me!" This was our first red flag, foreshadowing the uncomfortable experience that was to follow.
Throughout the shoot, Carra displayed an impatient attitude and made several unnecessary comments that added to the tension. When my two year old goddaughter became uncooperative, Carra suggested that we remove her costume because she might be too hot in the room. My best friend complied, but when the child was left in her diaper, Carra suddenly became agitated. She insisted that the toddler must go to the dressing room to put on a shirt, despite my friend explaining the situation.
Before we could rectify anything, Carra escalated dramatically, screaming, "Get out! Get out! I'm done accommodating 'you people!' If you don't leave now, I will call the cops!" At this point, it was still 6 PM, and we had an entire hour left of our scheduled shoot. The children were frightened and confused by her aggressive outburst, which was completely unwarranted.
To our shock, Carra indeed called the police on our group of two adults and five young children, the youngest being just two years old. When the officers arrived at 6:15 PM, they were incredulous at how we had been treated. Instead of capturing the enchanting fairytale moments we had envisioned, we left the studio traumatized, with our children in tears and fearful of the entire situation.
The experience was not only disappointing but also deeply concerning. I will be pursuing legal actions against this nightmare. We had hoped for a magical day filled with joy and laughter, but instead, we faced hostility and a lack of professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone considering a session at Enchanted Fairies to think twice, especially if they are looking for a welcoming and family friendly environment. read more
