How has no one reviewed EC yet? I have been coming here for a little over two months now. Everyone is very nice and willing to help. There are also numerous classes offered, as well as readings, massages, events, etc. The new location on H street is easy to access. I love stepping into the Enchanted Cottage because there is a peaceful demeanor and everyone is not judgemental. I'm definitely grateful Deanna has opened a business which Bakersfield has so few of to help those in their metaphysical studies! I came in here with a friend , and i wanted to look around but the guy at the front made me so uncomfortable I felt like I wasn't even looking at anything right because he just made it so awkward. I would've bought more or stayed there more but I felt rushed out of there and I wasn't the only one who felt off there. Another customer walked in and he seemed fine talking to her but anytime I'd ask a question he seemed annoyed. Just got back from the Mystic Fair. First time there, spent a whole 5 minutes, didn't even see the store. I am in a wheelchair. No ramp in front, just steps. Most of the fair was held outside in back, in 95 degree heat. Yeah, they had canopies, small ones, and filled to overflowing, no one would make room for my chair. They said "free food" (hot dogs) BUT charged for drinks including water. There was one ramp into the store, said Employees Only, and a guy came out said I could not use it. No other way into the store. So, won't go back. Can't get in, and no one seemed to give a damn if you are handicapped. Not very good Karma. Upset because it appears to be the only pagan/metaphysical store in the area. read more
