I prefer Chinese massage because it's rooted in acupressure. The Bad: I don't know if this was a one time thing but the massage table's head rest seemed like body odor. Really strong and overwhelming smell that made me gag several times. The masseuse placed clean tissues on top of the face rest but the bad odor could still permeate through. I should've mentioned this to the masseuse but I just suffered in silence. The massage was expensive. I thought I was paying for a shorter session so the price would be reduced but it wasn't. I also had cupping done so maybe that's why the price was so high, not sure. The cupping was painful but seems like I needed it? It left deep purple marks that faded in a few weeks. The Good: The masseuse was very strong. The massage felt deep which is what I wanted. It wasn't the relaxing type of massage which is what I expected. I was treated right away, no waiting. The decor was nicely designed, with a traditional Asian theme, Chinese artwork created ambiance. The masseuse was a nice lady who genuinely seemed to want to help relieve my back pain.

They didnt say very much so i pointed at the sign for 30 min $20 chair massage for two of us. They led us to worn down massage chairs. I took a glance at the clock before sitting down. The lady that massaged me did a fair job, focusing only on my upper body and shoulders. She kneaded some of my knots and repeated the same technique for a while. Then she started slapping my back and the massage was over. I looked at the clock to find that the massage was a total of less than 25 minutes! When i went to pay, i signed my receipt and the man pointed at the receipt and said "TIP." Left a tip, and he was very upset. He was expecting a tip larger than 10%/15% for a fair massage for less time. Walked out and never coming back again. George greeted us I entered the spa and offered me a choice of Water, Hot Tea or Champagne. All good choices but after a full day of traveling I opted for the bubbly beverage while they preparred the room. George asked me how much pressure I would prefer and the areas to focus on. I had been sitting on a plane and carrying luggage so my entire back was stressed and in need of work. George stretched my back muscles and proceeded to relieve the tension that had built up. He seemed to know every muscle in detail and knew exactly the right pressure and technique that was required to complete the task at hand. I heard joints popping and oils being applied to my tired muscles all while relaxing on a warm massage table with comfy sheets and headrest. The music playing in the background was soft and relaxing. I have had many massages over the years and George provided one of the best I have ever had. Next time I am in town I will stop by for another wonderful experience. They have multiple rooms and a full staff so I would assume all the massge therapists to be top tier. I highly recommend Pimalai Spa!!! John L
