His staff is rude and I was a client of his until today when he called me and my wife liar's.You…read moresee two months ago I went in to get my monthly prescription of pain pills he and his staff don't know how to count you see my insurance will only pay for a months worth of pills he gave me 63 pills he should have given me two prescription one for 30 and another for the difference but he did not so when I ran out I had to take a Tylenol 3 for my pain before I saw him two weeks ago he gave me a UA test no big deal but then today he asked me about it and when I told him I ran out of my Percocets he called me a liar I even offered to take another UA today but he was more interested in calling me a liar and treating me like a drug addict. He's rude and his staff is rude.

Salina Presbyterian Manor has been such a blessing to my mom. There is no other community I wanted…read moremy mom to be in as she was showing signs of dementia and I knew she would decline over the years and would have to eventually have to move for more care. Mom has been in the Manor for 2.5 years and has always been treated with the upmost respect and dignity. She started her journey in the Assisted Living unit where the staff were excellent and would always show their love for her. She was always involved in many activities and loved exercise class. One of her favorites was the buggy rides around the pond. When it was time for her to move to the healthcare side, it was so incredibly easy as the staff moved all of her furniture and all I had to do was just be with her to help with the transition. She has flourished! She was welcomed with lots of love and very attentive staff, they have been nothing short of amazing!! She recently celebrated her 80th birthday and I was overwhelmed by the love and hugs she received. Sadie James asked the staff and Salina Technical school students to line up in the hallway and they sang Happy Birthday to her while she walked back to her room after lunch. I have witnessed many times while being with my mom in the dining room, the opportunity for residents to choose what they would like to eat and/or if they want something different, the staff is quick and prompt to have something made for them. I have been so overwhelmed by the kindness and love they show to everyone. When I take mom out for church, upon return she sees her home and repeats, oh I just LOVE my home!! I can not explain the peace it brings to my family and I that she is so happy and well cared for. THANK YOU, TEAM! I am SO GRATEFUL for you!

The meals are almost always good with nice portion sizes. Unfortunately they have a lot of turnover making the residents wait for long periods of time to get drinks and meals. If your family member has health issues that require extra, I'd look elsewhere. Sadly several CNAs acted that my family member was a burden and told them so. It was disrespectful and very unprofessional.

I am lactose intolerant and unfortunately can't eat a lot of meat without being ill. Throwing up after major spine surgery is not recommended! They told me they "do not do special diets" and a couple of times I didn't get a meal. I have no relatives so was pretty helpless. Not their fault,I know, but reasonable accommodation would be good. Some clothes were lost or damaged by the laundry. On the flip side, they are one of the best facilities in the area for post-op physical therapy! The comfort and care provided generally are excellent but for some reason too many employees were judgmental. Still, I will use them again.
